What a great man, and the club let him go just like that. Rafa leaves with his held high and walks straight into one of the biggest jobs in Europe while we remain a laughing stock. I know who the winner is in all this.

my local italian restaraunt used to have a manager who looked like rafa. I was speaking to him once and he had been to Liverpool shopping and kept getting asked for his photo and autograph lol.

It just goes to show, he wanted to be part of Liverpool fc for years to come. Also, what the club and supporters meant to him

It's a travesty he has been pushed out of the door

That gesture almost made me cry
I read this just before reading my lad his bedtime story. Finally cracked and shed a few tears for Rafa....not just for the gesture but for how shabbily he was treated by the board, the media and for the catastrophic state of our club.

He deserved way better. Thankyou Rafa you are a true legend. YNWA.

My lad couldnt understand why I was upset

Can't really add more to what's been said. What a great man.

I think a few people on this site have realised in the last week, that you don't know what you've got til it's gone. Great gesture from Rafa, great man. YNWA JF96

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
