I'll continue to stay out of the football forums a bit longer. Pointless arguments about **** all going round in circles.
I'm on about the notion that if you're staying, you say so - eg Pepe and Agger.

Silence generally means someone wants out - so why dont they have the balls to say that, at least?

Because they might be sitting on the fence until they have an idea of who the next manager might be, and what their plans are, and whether the board want to cash in and sell.

Heaven forbid, the World Cup might even be a bit more important to them right now.

I'm with them on that. The club has gone to ****. They don't owe anybody anything. It's a job.

Unless you are Gerrard, you haven't got a clue what he is thinking. Nor do I.
      Oh I don't know.

Yeah that's fine, but it doesnt seem to stop Pepe or Agger committing. As Pepe said, whether we're in the CL or the Europa Cup, it's still Liverpool. Likewise, whoever the manager is, we're still Liverpool.

As for it being a job - again fine. But people like Gerrard and Torres shouldnt call themselves Liverpool fans, if the "it's just a job" theory can come into play so easily.

You're jumping to conclusions with Gerrard and Nando mate, Gerrard has been here before with speculation etc....... and Nando had the same before coming to Anfield, some players will act differently with this sort of stuff going on - the strong types such as Agger and Pepe come out and others just bury their heads in the sand and worry about what they have to do in the here and now.

Let's wait until the WC is over, I am not saying they will stay but remember people have different personalities - we might not like it but until either one comes out and says something we're in the dark - not great but the way it is.

Well Pepe and Agger seemingly have made their minds up. The others have not. Which bit of this don't you understand?

Gerrard has given his whole career to date to this club. Who would blame him for wanting a realistic shot at a league title at this stage of his career?

I can see Torres not wanting to fall into that (Gerrard) trap either.
            Oh I don't know.

To be honest, if i was gerrard i'd leave. say thanks and leave with a clear conscience. He's seen and won all that liverpool will win during his career and given a sh1t load to the club. so i'd take the opportunity to try out Madrid and Mourniho and if that didnt work, probably move to Inter or wherever in 2 yrs. Its not about just the job. Its about winning and the life experience of something different than LFC and the prem. LFC will always be his club.

Selfish perhaps but liverpool wont be relegated and they won't be winning. stagnating until we have new owners. why would he waste possibly 2-3 years on that at this point in his career? if he has any sense he is as good as gone imho.

Fair play to Agger tho. I rate him highly and as with Pepe, to hear this is a nice boost.

Just out of curiosity, why is it more of a disgrace for Gerrard than say Torres? Aside from Gerrard being club captain, I can't think of any reason. The should all equally have made a quick statement to state where they stand, they owe us fans that after the ****e they produced this season.

I think Torres probably owes us more than any of them. Mascherano has an unhappy wife, I can understand his reasoning for maybe wanting out. As for Gerrard I wouldn't begrudge Gerrard a big move to Spain to end his career, so long as we got a good fee for him. Torres on the other hand, well we made him, and I'd be sick if he ditched us so quick after one bad season. in fact I'd be livid. He owes us yet.

Gerrard because of his previous Chelsea hissy fits and subsequent LFC for life statements. Take a leaf out of Carra's book son.

Torres - I couldn't give a **** right now. He is like the girl who always said she loves you but has gone all quiet and you are not sure if she is having an affair or PMT or something else.... He needs to say something.

Mascher - please go - it will bring in some much needed money, hopefully for new players but if not at least it will give us more breathing space if it is to service our debt. And fingers crossed Mascher leaving will force us to change our style of play.

agree it seems fair that because we made him/gave him the platform, torres owes us 1 more season. but if its clear that we're heading for stagnation, i would leave if i was torres too. remember he only came to us from athletico to challenge for the top titles. if it was europa and 'at best 4th' then he'd have stayed in madrid.

basically, anyone who's a regular international should leave a club stagnating. simple as that.

I agree Craig as we all remember what went down when the Chavs came knocking for him when he was away on International duty a few years back. Stevie looks like a guy who wants out IMO.
