I watched Fulham a lot last season, and frankly most of their players, playing the way they played last season, would be an improvement on most of our players, playing the way they did last season.
However, Hodgson will get better performances out of our players for two reasons: he is a really good coach, and Rafa had lost some of the players. Bearing that in mind, who is good enough to go into Liverpool's first team? No one. And who would be a useful addition to the squad? Well:
+ Hangeland is not better than the four central defenders we have, although he would win more balls in the air.
+ We need to start to think about getting cover for Carra (unless we think one of Agger, Soto or Skrtel can do it, and I am not sure that they can). Hughes was fantastic last year in that role.
+ Pantsil is like Joey Jones without the skill!!
+ Gera is no where near Liverpool class.
+ Murphy would actually add something new to the squad (well, he would add what Aqua is supposed to be adding, but might be avaialable more games). He has vision and very quick feet, and would give us a bit of creativity. But he remains very one paced.
+ I would not touch Zomora with a barge poll even if he was the last striker on earth.

I would say that it is totally fair to come to the conclusion that there are players in the Fulham team who would improve our squad if they joined us.
However.........
It would also be fair to say that there are better alternatives out there than the fulham players, who would aslo improve our squad.
I guess it comes down to who is available and the cost of each potential target.Forwards.......

to be honest, Danny was a good passer but i can remember giving the ball away more than any other player when he was in the team, very frustrating to be honestOriginally posted by Paul12 View PostI watched Fulham a lot last season, and frankly most of their players, playing the way they played last season, would be an improvement on most of our players, playing the way they did last season.

And he probably still does give the ball away more than any, but equally the creative passes are invariably his too.Originally posted by fin7 View Postto be honest, Danny was a good passer but i can remember giving the ball away more than any other player when he was in the team, very frustrating to be honest
