I think / hope that as the new season approaches people will naturally move on from the endless Rafa debate. Please God!

The change in user titles is a sound idea and I have a vague recollection that Mr M/Paul/the mod team were looking at doing something with them. Presumably that initiative went the way of the frontpage but I suspect it will be easier to revive.

Unfortunately the default vB title system is only definable by number of posts, not length of membership (unless there's something I've not discovered yet). However yeah, we have discussed changing the current set several times, I'm happy enough to do so and can do it whenever, although I'd quite like to change the whole set not just the "I'm new" one, just need to decided what to.....

I'm excited as I am for every new season. I am very much an optimist. As always I will have ridiculously high expectations and will keep them going until the maths prove otherwise.

And I will look into the positives for every new signing, no matter how dross I previously thought them to be.

Can't you get rid altogether, or offer each user the capability to edit their own?

Failing that maybe each milestone could trigger the name of a LFC legend or something. You could start with Bernard Diomede and work your way up to King Kenny

Don't want to get rid completely, have thought about letting people edit their own but that usually turns out badly on forums in my experience. Besides, its more fun for us to assign custom ones when its called for

because over the past 6 months there has been a clear split between pro and anti rafa on here. people have dug themselves deep into trenches on the matter. Its hard not to see a post and go 'ah its that poster that i've disagreed with for 6 months' and respond accordingly.

Thats why I'm suggesting an amnesty where people 'try' and put their initial feelings to one side and give every thread and post a fair chance.
