I wish it could just get sorted now.....

mascher £35m, babel £8m, Riera £5m, few others (el zhar/plessis/degen/kyriakos) for combined £5m - sign mascher replacement £15m, Turan £10m, this remy dude or someone similar £10m, good left back £10m, cover for left back if needed £5m

we have options alright, we just dont have a top class finisher in that bunch - someone i think we could rely on. so not dismissing our hopes, just adding a note of caution. forgot about babel. maybe roy can get him firing as a striker.

United and Chelsea do it too.

But yeah...it's not the way I'd do it. In FM games and also simulations like Pro Evo or whatever, I leave five men up front. If I ever run an amateur football team (as I intend to when I'm older) I'm gonna do the same.

It forces them to leave more men back. Crowded penalty areas surely lead to goals being conceded, so IMO it's easier to defend and of course easier to spring a counter attack if you have four or five men on or around the halfway line.

Is there any good reason why no coaches ever seem to employ my radical system?

How annoying is that. The way he's worded it...as though it's always been that way FFS. He should be saying "we've caught them up and now have the same amount of titles as them"

              do they really?

I did read one of the reasons is becuase it enables you to break quicker as the oposition are further forward?

but personally just does my head in and i like your method

But doesn't that then ultimately depend on your ability to break quickly? Which Man Utd and Arsenal do, we don't seem to have the ability to do it (or at least not to do it effectively).
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

If I was your opposition manager, I would just play the corners short and out number you that way. It would be a big risk on your part to leave just 5 back.
                    Forwards.......

Regarding keeping everyone in the box, it does give you a great option to counter well with players bursting forward, as opposed to booting the ball up and leaving a player isolated.

I think the only issue any of us had was that we would have ten in the box and still have the opposition ghosting in and scoring un opposed.
                      Forwards.......

I already have a man waiting to deal with the short corner if it arises.

Took them 20 years of us being generally crap and them dominating to catch up too!

About Shaggy's revolutionary method of defending corners? Not sure it's relevant mate, he'll be on the halfway line
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
There's no water round here stupid, should have stayed where it was wet
