Very dull first half. Ngog has been awful despite scoring. His first touch is so bad! And 2-3 times he's tried to trap the ball and it's just gone straight through him.

Based on the performance so far, Amoo is nowhere near ready for first team football. Again, his touch is very poor. Hasn't been able to get at his marker at all.

Lucas and Spearing have been composed. Would like to see Aquilani and Jova take a bit more responsibility.

If you look where amoo is playing that is where babel will be playing because it looks like hodgson likes quick wide players and he certainly is that.

I haven't been 'raving' about him just saying he has had a decent half considering his age and experience. With you comment about him not taking on his man, your stream must have been dropping out a hell of a lot.

My stream went down for about 5 mins. Good to hear that though, because from what Ive seen of him so far he's looked pretty raw.

Maybe you're right - its probably easier to teach babel to defend than johnson.

Anyway, hodgson likes amoo in the right and it looks like he likes pace on the flanks which makes a huge difference to the pedestrian wide players were used to.

Have to say....that right side is a frightening thought against any halfway decent side. Any decent left sided winger could rampage that partnership all day long.
Would probably work fine against the Premier League chuttle though...
