I agree mate, sure you know yourself the closer we get to the start of the season, the line-ups in each pre season game, will get closer and closer to what it will be in the first league game will resemble.Originally posted by Mattshark View PostThey are but for 3 of them it is their first game and they haven't had much time to get back in to playing.
Aye, exactly mate, don't think you can read that much into a friendly performance.

Well yeah we got our Uefa tie midweek then Arsenal at the weekend.
Edit: Isnt there an international week in between as well? Maybe Gerrard, Cole etc will get a run out then as well. Bloody ridiculous having an international friendly the week before the season starts.'Religion is killing each other over who has the best imaginary friend'

My impressions:
Shelvey is going to be special. He has that demeanor only top top players have. He seems very mature in his play, and not because he looks like he's 40 years old.
Ayala has never impressed me when I saw him. Don't know what the fuss is about. ****s himself every time the ball goes near him. Way way too slow and clumsy, and I'm not just judging it on that mistake. He's just not going to be a Premier League defender. I can see him eventually making it back in Spain.
Dalla Valle never got the freaking ball to have a chance to impress. But he's a good player, you just couldn't see it this half.
Insua may have reminded some people why he needs to be sold. Don't understand the people who are so happy his deal fell through.
Ince and Eccleston, haven't seen the potential in them, especially Eccleston. I don't see it in him. Ince, maybe.
Joe Cole is way better than I thought he could be. He looks surprisingly sharp on the ball. Looks a very hungry player which I like.

Don't see much wrong there, hope to see Sterling and Suso at some point, probably the only reason I'm watching the second half.Originally posted by JohnDoe View PostMy impressions:
