I wouldnt be so quick to assume that last season is Insua's 'level' and that he's become rubbish. Everyone was ****e last year, barring maybe 2 or 3. So it's no real shock that Insua had a stinker.

Assuming the whole team collective performs better this campaign, i see no reason why Insua shouldnt improve and live upto the early promise he showed the season before last.

      Is he injured yet?
This city has two great football teams – Liverpool and Liverpool reserves

Minor wrist strain when he signed the new contract, but he should be ok for recovery by the busy festive period.

Fabio Aurelio handed no.6 shirt following return to #LFC, following in footsteps of Emlyn Hughes, Alan Hansen & Markus Babbel.

What number was he before? Isn't number 3 still available?
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

At least more of the first teamers are getting lower numbers. Im sick of all the low numbers being used or given to **** players... i.e voronin 10, 7 not being used, 6 and 3 being free. Give Skrtel number 3 instead of him walking around in number 37...

                      Why did we resign him?

I know we were struggling for cover but we'd have been better saving that weekly wage at least.

Due back 2nd Oct hopefully but this lad is not going to get many games imo.
                      He's out with Achilles Tendinopathy..

It is a frequent cause of lower Calf pain and heel pain.

                        Classy player when fit.

But he's never fit. And when he is fit he needs five or so games to get back into form. So he's really only effective in about four games per season.

Shame because he is a good player. He was superb in 08-09.

He is a thing of the past.

I cannot see him making into starting 11 this year unless Konk gets seriously injured. He's probably Roy's third choice after Agger..

So why is he back on the wage bill?

I think that's being generous to be honest mate.

Sure he's never played more than 30 games per season. In 12 years or so? It's a real shame because he is a very good player - if he was injury free then he'd be a £10m full-back. But at the moment he's worth diddly****.

                              Should've kept Insua.

                                Poor timing.
