So you're choosing to believe comments attributed to a team mate of his over actual quotes from Torres himself???

I just like to look at things from both angles, Villa is one of his best mates (not just a team mate) and on the other hand this is Torres's own interview with the club. I'm very happy with the comments, I'm just not falling for it 100%.

As a club we've had too many false dawns so its probably worn me down a bit and my defences are up.

My experience of Chelsea fans (and i meet a lot of them, what with living about 20 mins from Chelsea) is that the new-age ****s hate us because of the 'rivalry' (basically based on 4 CL ties against them) and the proper Chelsea fans from years gone by still consider Spurs, WHU and Leeds as their most hated clubs.

Jacobs has also been seething since Cole signed for us. He was sick to the back teeth when Joe mentioned about the passion of the fans from THAT CL semi final in 2005 and Jacobs was spitting feathers when Cole described us as the biggest club in England, stating (while frothing at the mouth) that United are 'clearly' the biggest club. His on-air colleague that day, put him firmly in his place by stating "Well whether it's United or Liverpool, one thing you can be totally sure of is that it certainly isnt Chelsea"

Today Jacobs has been spouting more bitter ****e, after Cole apparently said the reason he joined us was to play alongside quality players. Jacobs sneered "Oh thanks! What do you think you were playing with for the last few seasons?" and the other bloke replied to him "Maybe he meant Champions League winners"

I couldn't listen to that station ...I'd end up smashing everything in sight to pieces.

Just read out a text from a Liverpool fan and then, referring to Torres again, came out with "I'm sure Liverpool fans are delighted that Torres is staying, because they love him. So [in a weasly, gutted voice]....erm...that's good."

The disappointment in his voice is almost tangible

I never know why journalists/broadcasters are so keen to give such emphatic 'fact-like' strength to things they can absolutely have no clue about. Opens themselves up to looking completely foolish and without any credibility.

That said, when it comes to Talksport, i listen to it purely for time-passing and entertainment purposes.

I suppose he just wanted to relax and enjoy his holidays without football stuff always getting in the way.

To be fair to him, he came back off holidays yesterday and he's committed today. Not too shabby.
