Depends on the respective managers' abilities doesnt it?

I could have all the press support in the world to manage, but I'd still not be as good as required.

I think Rafa in particular though is the type of manager you feel a sense of relief when he's gone.

It's only the same as tarring RAfa with the Cisse brush.

To be honest it irks me to see our manager bend over for those Sky retards. I know it's not Roy's fault he's the media darling, but the interview with the clearly delighted, grinning inanely Shreeves made my toes curl. There is a majorly unpleasant undercurrent to all of this.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

yeah - it was really weird - as i say i was conflicted - whilst it was a breath of fresh air, to see our manager smiling, and to not be battling his way against wave after wave of a media mudslinging contest - it did also feel like we were slipping into the bed with the enemy....

Now, whilst part of me, being the man whore i am, thinks sound, get into bed and do the deed for the easier route for once, i cant help but be reminded about all the **** cunts have thrown at rafa - which in effect was thrown at the fans too.....

If they let the anti rafa stuff go, i'll be ok with it, but the continual back tracking to it as i say, it's not fair on rafa or roy....Why can't they just accept that rafa was a good manager, won the european cup, will be remembered as good manager, has moved, and leave it.
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

The lfc channel - **** me, we have had a few threads on this ****ing embarrasing to say the least. Seriously shoddy and poorly put together, it reminds me of the educational programmes we had to watch in science like 15 years ago haha.

That said though - the other day, bored out me skull, the lfc channel had the 9-0 vs crystal palace game - forgot how good it was, a sheer master class and had two of my favourties of all time on the score sheet, aldo and nicol - funnily, the two ideal players for us right now. We'd win the league if we had them

I like it, every night after a game there is a phone in. Good to hear opinions of people associated with the club.

However all that KOP10 ****e is poor.

Could be done soo much better

haha i can't stand phone ins - be it on lfc tv, radio city, or whatever, i just get wound up listening to some of the embarrasing calls - people seem to fone up without giving any thought about what to say, they just want to be on the radio/tele, end up making cunts of themselves...

at least on the forums we get all give our opinions and then call each other knobheads -it's better than screaming it at the tele on your own haha.

i do have my own ideas how the club should of/could approached the idea/running of the channel - as it is, it looks like it's been put together by 6th formers doing A level Media studies.....so i thought well if thats the case, students couldn't do any worse - in fact i think they could do it a lot better - so why not approach liverpool univ/john moores media departments and ask them too run the channel, as part of the students courses - it would mean fresh ideas etc etc constantly coming in, the channel couldn't be any worse, but it might be improved and would prob save the club some money

Didnt watch the Hodgson interview. Turned off Sky straight after they'd tried to lead Carra in slagging off Rafa.

I know what you mean though- it kinda feels like we are a sanitised Sky-friendly red-top friendly Purslow-friendly watered-down version of the club. I feel less a part of the club than ever. We are supposed to be a breed apart, awkward, objectionable & difficult to understand. We are supposed to have a manager & mentality that embodies that. Now it feels all abit soccer am. Eventually they'll have us a a Spurs in red at this rate.

The media and journalists have to cover a broad range of teams. They're not really interested in the intricacies of a particular club. From their point of view last season for Liverpool FC was a complete disaster (which it was) and we played ****e football for 75% of the games (which we did) and that's the bottom line. For them, it's not about making excuses as to why we ended up 7th...it's far more enjoyable to stick the knife in.

It's cut throat but at the same time it can be a kick up the arse too.

                          .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

And i also want.....no expect...any liverpool manager to be in conflict with Freguson too, it's going to be cringeworthy, absolutely cringeworthy if Hodgson gets too matey with **** face.

It's all very weird, i don't want Roy to be 'friends' with these people, i want him to give them both barrells as Rafa always did, regardless of the stick he knew all to well he'd get from the media, whether it be Allardyce he was taking on or Ferguson or both!! i'd include those idiots at Sky too , **** em.

I don't, i want Roy to be as under the radar as he can, to stop the paper's from talking about us and riling the more easily led fans, for the team to be able to focus purely on football and for us to slowly but surely regain our place in the footballing heirarchy...the Rafa way was just that, Rafa's way...it looked for a time that it might work, but in the end it didn't. Lets see if Roy's way is any better.

whats wrong with roy being friendly with the media, sky and fergie?

i couldnt give a **** if he was in league with the devil himself so long as the team performs.

some people need to grow the **** up, drop all this bull**** anti-rafa **** ( he isnt here anymore so let it go ) and understand that roy is friendly and as such all the media hype over us will lower and the team can concentrate on the football.
People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.
