I'm totally missing the point in Maxi. I swear I have seen him doing nothing in any of the games I have seen him play. Just utterly non descript, not bad, not great, just bland.

I agree - is so easy to control for the opposition because he doesn't have the skill nor the pace to go past anyone.
He's good at keeping hold of the ball and moving it around but brings almost nothing offensively

Not so sure about not having the skill, i think he's extremely skillful and technically sound. Very one-paced though.

I can't agree with that in the slightest, he has a lot of skill, he hasn't been at his best tonight, but he has barely played since the WC. At the end of last season he was looking very good.
