Its not Roy's fault Cole got sent off against Arsenal, its not his fault Torres is still not 100%.

Time. Nil Nil away is a point well earnt. Clean sheet. Next game.

Konchesky was average at best and that's being generous. Poulsen offered nothing going forward and almost cost us a goal. Mereles looked good, strong movement and wanted the ball.

So it's Rafa's team when we play bad and all about Roy if we perform well? Get a grip. This ain't about Rafa or Roy anyways. It's about the 2 ghouls clinging to the club with their long nails leeching money away for years now. No manager would get a fair chance at Liverpool right now, that's a sad fact.

I have a feeling Cole will be a huge dissapointment.

          lol, wut?

Seriously though, that was a pretty abysmal performance, but that just a silly statement. Houllier and Rafa did no such thing, and Roy's had 4 flipping league games with a lot of new faces and a team that is very low on confidence. We've made a profit in the last 5 transfer windows running. How one earth is that not relevant to the direction the team has taken, co-incidentally over the exact same period?

Sometimes its easier than it should be to understand why fans of other clubs see us as whiney bitches who think we have a god given right to win everything.

[QUOTE=Chewbacca;1706967]In what way? They don't pick the team, waste £80-100m on average players and play dull football. Nothing but pathetic deflection and excuses from LFC fans these days.[/QUOT

To be honest Roy spent **** all this summer on getting players in - the majority of this side is Rafa's still - we were poor today yes but this rot has been here since the start of last season and it's going to take new owners and an injection of cash to sort this out.

We lost both Masch + Alonso (the best player in his position IMO)in the past two seasons and thats a hell of a lot of talent to lose, also no Joe Cole to call on today and Merieles who has just joined wasn't ready to start.

Make judgements on Roy once it's really his side and has the full players to call upon - remember Brum haven't been beaten at home for a year or so.

All I ever read on here is blindness and excuses. Roy is bringing nothing to the table and it's clear as mud. Wake up and smell the LFC cheese.....
To be honest this part just sounds like the whole of last season, nothings changed. Give the manager a break, we're 4 games into anew season with a new manager with different tactics and ideas, not to mentionnew playing personnel!!!

Roy Hodgson was never going to be an improvement on Rafa anyway, he's arguably more defensive and his teams were never attacking in the first place. The appointment wasn't progressive and was never going to be under our current ownership.

Hodgson deserves time to imprint his methods but the worrying thing is that he doesn't seem to assert himself enough during matches. That said, 0-0 away from home against Brum under the circumstances isn't that bad.
                  Are we winning?

I wouldn't say Cole will be a huge disappointment, that's a bit strong but i don't think he'll make anywhere near the impact that we hope/expect.

Sorry, Roy has wasted £100m? Wow, when did that happen?

Since H&G took over we've spent ~£18m. And that doesn't include fees probably to come from players like Insua and Aquilani who are no longer part of the squad. Effective spend in over 3 years therefore = a big, fat 0.

For a club aspiring to be at the top of the league, that makes a substantial commercial profit each year, well, that's just ridiculous. Is it any wonder we're slowly becoming a mid table outfit?

I'm far from convinced Roy Hodgson will ever lead us to the promised land. I'm plenty convinced he's not the root problem at our club, nor are any of our past managers.

                          Well, maybe Souness.....

                                arse dribble indeed.

it may be that Roy isnt good enough to manage us however he is the manager and its not been long since he started with this group of players.

We are a club on a downward trajectory at the moment. It seems to surround the whole club. We need new owners an injection of cash into the squad. I do think a better manager but without the injection of cash we are going nowhere. Over a season i cant see us being good enough for 4th. I know that sounds negative but remember we havent been good ofr over 12 months and currently under two different managers. I know we still have players who pushed 2nd but since then we have got weaker and others have got stronger. The only other club who are weaker as well are the scum. Without money the problems in the squad wont be solved to push us back up the table. The motiviation of the squad doesnt look to be there either, i am not basing it on just the last few games but for over 12 months and thats what worries me.

Will all this surrounding the club i am not sure what more Roy can do. I would like to see more attacking yes but are the players we have at the moment up to that?

                                Depressingly no.
