That's what I thought too, underlying "mother" issues perhaps.

Perhaps, or perhaps his lack of success. No job. No wife. No hope. Eastmidlander. It's bound to start taking its toll on someone.

kudos to uncle roy for getting the best out of ngog. dire last year but already on his way to trumping the total goals scored already this year. hopewfully he continiues to prove me wrong as lucas did last year.
People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.

N'gog was a steal..we'd probably make 3 times what we paid if we sold him tommorrow..maybe more.

Hopefully we never do...because he go's on to be a great liverpool player.

The main factor for his improvement has simply been the Europa League. There's no chance Roy would have started him in any of our Champions League matches had we been in it.

I think the Europa League could be a huge, huge plus for us this year in terms of giving some of the up and coming players real experience. Hopefully it will strengthen our squad and keep everyone on their toes.

I still don't think he's good enough though.
                Agreed

I found myself swearing several times during the first half as he attempted some hopeless passes, which, against a better team, we would have been punished harder for. A much better second half though. His shooting isn't that great either, not knocking him, just don't think he'll ever make it here.

I heard the fans singing a Maxi Rodrigues song last night. Does anyone know the words to it please?

                    To the tune of 'Heartbeat':

                    Maxi
                    Maxi Rodriguez
Run down the wing for me...

Still question marks over whether he'll make it at LFC as his lack of height is severe disadvantage to him, but if he performs like that every game he is called upon for I think he may just deserve to keep his place in our squad.

Was very pleasing to see two young lads from our Academy start the game and not look out of place alongside International class players.

I thought Kelly showed signs of being the new Carra - which is great for our centre defence, but not so great as a full back. And I thought Spearing just looked out of his depth in the first half, but good in a dominant side in the second half...at 23 years old, who would he replace in the squad?

N'Gog is the one who befuddles me, to me he is an enigma. So much about him screams 'not good enough' but he keeps scoring goals, and as long as he's doing that he's worthy of his place in the squad...can't work out if he's going to become a top class player or another Milan Baros.
I thought Spearing had a good game, I know alot of people have been raving about Shelvey on here and not many people rate Spearing, but given the number of games he's started in the Europa League, you would have to think Roy rates him and he seems to be ahead of Shelvey in the pecking order. When it comes to the number or the young or fringe players play Spearing seems to be one of the ones getting most games (him, Kelly and Pacheco) seem to be the main ones involved, the likes of Wilson and Shelvey are still yet to feature.

Kelly last night was steady but didn't stand out and there's nothing wrong with that.

Ngog did well, I think he's a better player than many people give him credit for, like most strikers he's a confidence player, last year when there was so much pressure on him he struggled, the role he played last year should have been similar to what he has done so far this year IMO

We only paid £1.5m I'd think if anyone got him for £4.5m they'd still be getting a bargin.
