It was the game where we were winning and then Johnson put through his own net and that little, talented, **** Arshavin scored the winner.Originally posted by DannyMan2006 View PostAh, thought we lost.
If that is the case we are so far no worse off than last season. Not great as last year we finished 7th, but taking into account it's a new manager with new players it does show how tough a start we've actually had.
Exactly, we are at the moment, no worse off than last year. In fact that's what makes this defeat harder to take because at 2-2 we would of been 1 point better off than last year and Manure would of been 2 worse off. If we'd held on against the Arse we would of been 3 better off and they would of been 3 worse off. It would of been completely different. And in those two games this season, we drew one because of an unusual individual error and lost today because of two individual errors, neither because of Roy's tactics.

I think the results we've had would feel much better had they been mixed in with wins over a few more easy teams.Originally posted by SimonNo7 View PostIt was the game where we were winning and then Johnson put through his own net and that little, talented, **** Arshavin scored the winner.

We're on a bad run and I can understand why people are unhappy.Forwards.......

Of course they would and I do also understand why people are unhappy but we've played 5 games, 5 games. I'm sure we used to be a hell of a lot more tolerant than this.Originally posted by DannyMan2006 View PostI think the results we've had would feel much better had they been mixed in with wins over a few more easy teams.

To begin with you don't make a profit on lien. That's ****ing collateral
And as for 'educashun', well let's leave that one - I'm very well educated thank you.
the profit on Lien is simply explained to someone of your stature.
The KopCayman account that has loaned funds to LFC at 10% over Libor is in fact held in Lien on behalf of the 2 git owners and this is where they are milking the club. In Lien is the collateral of the funds put up by the Yanks initially plus the skim or added interest fees that are added.
So no you dont make profit on Lien but the special purpose vehicle that was created to milk a turn on the interest rate paid out by LFC over and above the one they are charged.
I guess I'm not that impressed at your level of education because of your irreverand use of the word bollocks which in turn seriously embarasses you

As I said when we played City, it's about the players playing the system not the formation. Every formation has ups and downs.Originally posted by -V- View PostIsn't it funny how much more dangerous Torres looked when he had a striker partner? He won a penalty and a free kick because he was able to stretch their centre backs apart. Why? Because he had less players marking him and he wasn't outnumbered. He was properly supported.
Think the players in the team today are a step up on the ones who started against City and as time passes we'll get even better.
Morale plays a key point in football though so I think we have to start getting results now if we are to have a positive season.
Spurs play West Ham away and City play at home to Chelsea. I could see both dropping points in those fixtures. It is key we take advantage and get the result at home to Sunderland.Forwards.......

I'm sure others have said it - but it's no surprise Webb bottled a big decision by not sending O'Shea off. Not saying we would of won at all but them being down to 10 men for 24 minutes could have helped. I bet if we were only one goal down or drawing we wouldn't of even got the penalty from Webb.
Bet Torres gets unfairly slated. He didn't do too badly considering there weren't many chances for him and the clear chances he could of scored he was hacked down.
Positives:
1. We were expected to lose anyway and only lost by one goal, so no worse than last year.
2. The Old Trafford game is out of the way so we don't have to worry about it later in the season.
3. Rooney is still ****, the only time you saw him was when he was mouthing off to Webb complaining about some blatent free-kick or booking.
4. We now have a much nicer run of games for a while.

Your loyalty to Rafa knows no bounds.Originally posted by Mattshark View PostWe drew with Arsenal at home last year. Arsenal very rarely win at Anfield. City last season was a draw and we probably should have won.
He even has you changing history now.
Arsenal beat us at home last season.

The club has turned a profit on players yes they were replaced with assets of lesser quality..that is stripping..so to follow your argument then it is fine to sell Gerrard Torres and Reina and replace them with dozy dick and harryOriginally posted by SimonNo7 View PostWhere has he asset stripped?
If you are talking about Mascherano, the guy wanted to leave. I agree we maybe haven't brought in as good a player but we haven't bought in a complete dud in Poulsen plus we have brought in Meireles. If you are talking about Benny we've brought in Cole, Insua we re-signed Aurelio and brought in Konchesky (IMO a better player than Insua although I would of rather Insua stayed as back-up) and finally Riera who sealed his own fate but I would agree we haven't exactly replaced him. The only place I can see asset stripping is clearing out some of the reserves who weren't really good enough.
Now if you go to the profit on transfers then because of the state the club is in (because of the owners not Roy Hodgson) what we have actually done makes perfect sense.
I'm afraid your idea that Hodgson is just a yes man could be cast on any manager that took the job. They are professionals who look at the job on offer and do what they need to do.
As for managers being professional hahahaha Hodgson couldnt believe his luck when he was offered the job at his age and standing of course he took it knowing he would have to do as he was told...
