Thanks to our excellent results at home meant that we never really could get into any real problem. We would always be fighting for at least a CL place.

If you don't make your ground into a fortress the way Rafa did then it's almost impossible to challenge for a CL place.

That means attacking football all the time so the opposition fear you. That is one thing Roy must learn quickly starting today.

It's much more difficult to play away because the opposition play in a different way. Then you can get away with playing defensive counter attacking football.

At home it's attack, attack, attack that counts and press the opposition all over the pitch.

Not sure its fair to compare Benitezs 5 year tenure to Hodgsons 5 weeks in the job.

I don't recall us being attack attack attack. Watching LFC has been not much fun for a while now to be fair.

Re the home form under Roy Hodgson and his failure to make Anfield a fortress, his record is as follows

          WON 2-0
          DREW 1-1
          WON 1-0
          WON 1-0
          WON 4-1
          DREW 1-1 (BEATEN ON PENS)

We could do with some perspective really. The Northampton result was woeful, and I'm not fond of how he's setting us out, but that aside he's otherwise unbeaten at the moment.

I think we could do with waiting this one out rather than demanding his head on a platter. My feeling is that we'll finish pretty much where a club that pays out our amount of wages should do - about 5th now that City have gone nuts in terms of spending (not that that's acceptable for LFC but that's down to the folk upstairs in terms of the finances they give the manager).

A decent run in the league and we're right up there. Liverpool fans demanding to sack the manager at a point in the season when Sir Bob wouldn't have even glanced at the league table, well it just doesn't sit right.

We have not played good attacking football since the 2008/2009 season when we finished second.

                  you mean options 3 & 4?

They don't. You can pick any.

That's my biggest problem. I don't mind us losing if we are outplayed in open, aggressive, attacking style of football.

This **** defense-first-lucky-if-we-create-a-chance style of play we display now (in fairness last year wasn't any better) is nowhere near good enough for LFC.

Okay then so it seems there are in fact a good number who want him out.

                      Anonymous voting eh?

Agreed mate. I could understand if Torres and stevie wanted to leave. If i was an LFC player at this minute i would have a serious think about staying.

                            Cannot say that I disagree.

We are clearly a club in a deep turmoil on and off the pitch and unfortunately a mediocre manager type of Roy cannot slow down the downward spiraling demise.

Only if Kenny or Rafa would take the job.

If not we have to make the best of what we have, and right now that is Roy.
