Cannot argue with any of that Pablo. Would also add in his defeatist press conferences & cunt arse kissing of Mr. Ferguson etc.
    3rd place. Worst champions ever.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Domestically Rafa failed but in all of Fergies time at Man Utd he has made 3 CL finals, Rafa made 2 in his first 3 seasons. Incredible stuff and something that any new manager we get will ever replicate, regardless of whether we have two bob to spend or 200 million. As Richard Keys said in his closing speech of the 2005 CL final, we may never see the likes of it again.
That's kind of my point really.

            - We never close the oppostion down. Why? It's nonsensical. We just invite pressure on ourselves. Did Fulham play this way last year? I must be wrong but I have an image in my head of them closing down players and working damn hard at it. We're certainly not doing that.

            - The hoof mentality. It's worse than ever. Playing the ball out from the back seems to be actively discouraged

            - Fullback not allowed to overlap. We're not a team blessed with too much individual creative genius, and more importantly, we lack any proper wingers. We have no width in the team, the ball is always played into the crowded midfield area, and due to a lack of options we give the ball away time and time again. If we had some fullbacks hugging the touch line it would help so much. But it seems this is not encouraged by Roy.

            - Man marking. For all those that moaned about zonal marking, what do you think now? We are as bad at defending corners and crosses as we have been in recent memory. Every ball flung into the box causes chaos.

            - Two (****) DM in almost every game.

            - Substitutions. He leaves them even later than Rafa did!

            - His lack of touchline activity. He's barely ever on the touchline. When he is he just stands there with his arms crossed. ****ing do something!
            Spot on Pablo.

I am 47 years old and saw my first game with my grandad when I was just 4 years old.. I have never seen such a mess on the pitch. His tactics are non existant, he is way out of his depth.

''Steady the ship'' that's we wanted and expected as a minimum.. what have we got... a crippled gallion that is sinking fast..

I just feel the longer he stays in control of those on the field the further we'll fall. We should give him a chance, but I feel this will be a massive gamble..

If he fails to stop the slide, then come January we will probably see mass muntiny aboard the good ship LFC.

It breaks my heart to witness what's happening on and off the field at our club... It all needs to end sooner rather than later.

5 more games - if we are still not improving game on game then he has to go...no more ifs' and buts'...

Completely off topic but can you imagine if in real life every time we agreed with someone we instantly shook hands.

I might give it a go sometime and see how it goes.

I wouldn't even wait 5 games personally. Kenny is the answer for me. The only answer really. Although I know in reality that is never going to happen.

I want to give Roy a chance but its all the above that is killing me, I can take losing once our approach is right.

Yep I'd agree with that. If we were going about things the right way and still losing I'd accept that, but we're not.

Hmm, I'm not sure I would. I mean, what does "going about things the right way" actually mean?

If you mean losing is OK if we can see signs of progress then I agree. Apart from holding on to Torres, Gerrard and Reina, and maybe the signings of Cole and Meireles, I see only regression and decline.

But it is still early days. I think we have to hope he doesn't f*ck things up too much with the players (losing Agger would be very, very bad I think) although I have somewhat changed my mind about the quality of the squad Benitez assembled.

Yes, that is what I meant. If I could see a clear, coherant gameplan, showing steady progress game by game, I'd accept that, even if it meant losing some games early on.

Same here. Never wanted him to get the job as I don't think he is good enough to be LFC manager but given current state of affairs I would give him next 5 games to see if he can turn things around.

If he can I'd keep him until year's end and hopefully with the new owners in charge by then I'd look for a world class manager.

Last season we lost at home three times in the league, our home form last season was quite good.

Wouldn't have appointed him myself. But now he's here he deserves more than 5 league matches before calls for his head.

I hate the two DMs, and I hate the shackling of the full backs. I hate the sitting deep.

I can only hope we see a different Liverpool now that everyone is getting to the point of being match fit.

We actually have a good spine at the club. I am nervous yes, but there's no way I'd say to sack a manager after 5 matches.
