At £800K per place I think we can well afford to sack Roy
The problem is if RBS take over that they won't see it that way. They will see it more short term and that sacking Roy will cost the club say £5m-£6m. They simply won't do that because we probably don't have the money to do it right now and that is what counts. They won't risk a single pound.

They won't look at it as long term as end of the season, they will run the club on a week by week basis because the main point is no risk taking.

There is an element of risk in keeping Hodgson though

It is devaluing their asset further

The longer this continues the less the club becomes worth which means the less of the debt they recoup through sale (assuming they did seize it)

Absolutely, at this point the board need to regroup fast in order to stop fan unrest.

The appointment of Kenny may now seem like an option.

That is the reason to why I don't think RBS will sack him until the very last moment before the next transfer window. There is no way they will allow him to spend any money in January because as you point out, he is devaluing their asset.

If the club isn't sold before say mid December then I can see that they will consider sacking him but not before then.

They will also save a lot of money if he walks.

If RBS take control of the club they'll want to sell it on within weeks to recoup their money, they'll have no interest in hiring/firing managers and buying/selling players.

Can't believe this is still being discussed.

I thought he would have walked by now.

It will be interesting to hear what the players have to say when they are on international duty

We should sack him, I totally agree - my point is that he just won't be sacked, I can't see it happening for both cost and the fact the board will be seen as losing face.

What I will say is that I've never seen so much apathy to a LFC management appointment which has turned into downright dismay and anger at his tenure (albeit short so far), you'd hope he would realise rapidly how far out of his depth he is but I don't see him doing that either.

Is there even such a thing?

What are the betting odds on him being the first manager sacked? I'm at work and can't access betting sites

I had a bet last week at 6-1(Nordicbet). Dropped to 4-1 since then.
