Well we have Poulson and Meireles playing the central role along with gerrard on the pitch. So we are covered in the position. Maxi and Kuyt add to our attacking options which we need more than ever at the minute.

Pacheco brings more to the table than Maxi in his current form and state of mind. We need some unpredictability. We have none.

Played out of position though, in fact I thought he was one of the least guilty offenders. He at least tried to do positive things, tried to make things happen, but he was in such a deep position...he was hamstrung by the position Hodgson put him in.

I think the problem is how poor he was in mid-week though.

He's only 19 so it is understandable that he'll perform as a roller-coaster until he gains confidence and becomes regular in first 11. Certainly playing out position in Curling Cup game compound the poor performance.

I also think that he is one of the few in our current squad that can bring some creativity, trickery, speed and agility upfront so he should be at least on the bench.

It's a shame that Hodgson doesn't have the football knowledge, incredible insight or the vast experience we have and a pity he never gets to see the players in training like we do. And I agree the bench is ****ing wank with only six full internationals on it. As always, the manager clearly doesn't know what the **** he is doing...
