Sunderland had a free kick in their half. The ball was stationary. Michael Turner rolled the ball back about 10 yards expecting the keeper to take the free kick. Torres ran after it followed by Kuyt. TOrres waited for the ref to acknowledge the ball was in play - fed the ball to Kuyt and he scored.

Atwell has judged that as the ball was stationary and he had moved away - that the roll back was the free kick being taken.

Nice when refs get big decisions wrong in OUR favour for a change!! The beachball goal last season should have been blown up for external interference. Its all even. With these players I'd be disappointed if we don't put this game away.
