The amount of Fulham players painting Hodgson as inferior AND more negative than Hughes is ****ing frighteningOriginally posted by peekay View PostFULHAM forward Zoltan Gera admits he is relieved to be free of Roy Hodgson’s shackles.
Hodgson – who led the Cottagers to the Europa League final last season – vacated the Fulham *dugout in the summer to take over at Liverpool.
But the new Anfield boss has *endured an uncomfortable start to life on Merseyside.
Liverpool lie 16th in the Premier League and Hodgson has already been criticised for his rigid and cautious style of play, *particularly away from home. In contrast, new Fulham manager Mark Hughes has introduced a more attacking approach at Craven Cottage.
And Gera admits his side are a more attractive proposition *under the man nicknamed Sparky.
He said “I think we play a bit more open football than last year – it’s good to play in a team like that.
“There are a lot of one-against-one situations during games and the players can do the right things in these situations.
“Players have more freedom to go forward and do what they can for the team, which is good.”
Hughes, who has yet to taste a Premier League defeat as Fulham boss, knows he needs to improve the club’s away form.
Under Hodgson, the London club picked up just one away league win all last season.
Gera added: “We play West Ham this weekend and it’s important to start well against them and frustrate the home crowd.”
Hangeland: "Training is different. Under Roy Hodgson we did a lot on team shape and organisation whereas now we do more 4 v 4s, small-sided games - proper football sessions, some might say."
Even Murphy said something about this last night
I honestly think hes out of his depthBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

I dont believe the players are the WHOLE PROBLEMOriginally posted by The_weatherman View PostBut I don't think the players are the main problem - HE is, playing players out of position, leaving Agger on the bench, signing poor players, naive and overly cautious tactics and then coming out and continually dampening expectatitions which are at rock bottom. This may be difficult for him - but at least he's is getting paid handsomely, this is difficult for me and I'm paying for it.
His tactics seem to conflict against everything we have available in our squad
I am convinced another manager would get more out of these players than he is doing.
I'm not in anyway saying we'd be at the top and challenging or even winning every game but we certainly wouldnt be as bad as we are now
I truely believe his tactics are detrimental to usBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

Originally posted by Marsh View Posti am sure he wants a war with us. i am sure he thought i know lets have a war with the fans.
remember people are on his back its going crap he might even know its going to end badly but i dont think he wants a war with us.
are we children?
he is a bloke doing a difficult job and out of his depth but i bet he knows we are not a top 4 club at the moment plus alot if not most of us think we are even if we say no we are not deep down underneath we cling to that thought
We are no better than Bolton or Newcastle fans if we hound him out. The on pitch performance will do that soon enough
Spot on mate. How many managers come out in the press and criticise the players. That would be great for the confidence wouldn't it.

What I'm really worried about is the dross he'll try to sign in January. I'm praying he's sacked long before he has the chance to bring any more 28-31 year old, probable Englishman journeymen ****e to the club.
Hicks and Gillet might be the ultimate reason why we're in the this mess but closely followed is Purslow who obviously knows nothing about football and recommend we appointed Roy. Hodgson given time will destroy us on the pitch.James Philip Milner Fanclub #1

All i know is that if we continue to get served up more dross like this then a lot of people are going to think that they have much better things to do with their time. Watching us this season is like watching paint dry. I don't even have the motivation to argue about football any more and for me thats as bad as it gets. We badly need change and soon.Akloppalypse Now !

That's a damning indictment of him really. Yes we are clearly ****ed behind the scenes but on pure football terms we should always have high expectations.Originally posted by NigelLG View PostThat interview takes the biscuit! He basically said that the expectations for a club like Liverpool are too much. I'm lost for words.
