Yep that is very true. But even back then, I didn't want us to sign Masch permanently - I always preferred Sissoko. His passing was awful when he wasn't getting continous games or was coming back from a long lay off. But other than that, he was an amazing player.Originally posted by JohnDoe View PostHe'd walk right into our team, but back then we had Alonso and Mascherano, and Sissoko couldn't play with the latter.
I can't believe how **** our midfield is right now.My kebab comes with chilli sauce

We could, but that is a bit of an irrelevancy. Last season we defended better, made more chances and at least had shape. Roy has removed even these things from our side.Originally posted by SimonNo7 View PostYes I agree but just for arguments sake we could of lost every game 1-0 and still had the 3rd best defensive record but quite obviously the worst ever points tally and been relegated.

Just ridiculous. Thats the thing, if we were just in a rut or playing badly, then you could almost forgive results due to the upheaval of a new managerOriginally posted by saj View Post

But when he sets the team out like that?

That post has to be one of the worst I've had the displeasure of reading. You contradict yourself completely. So going by your judgement, we should sell Torres? As pre-injury he was immense. But post injury he has been terrible

What? You know that pre means before, and post means after, yes?Originally posted by saj View PostTurn to Channel 5

Exactly - put the right players in the right positions and play to their strengths. Then if the results are bad, then at least the fans can't blame the manager. But when a team contains 3 defensive midfielders, one of which is put out on the wing, you can't help but get majorly frustrated.Originally posted by Fierce View PostJust ridiculous. Just defies logic. With 3 midfielders, none of whom can play on either wing, there is surely no option other than to have them in the middle! Bizarre, especialyl considering he did it previously and we were just as crap thenI saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"

Umm, I don't believe I need to, given that I was specifically questioning whether or not he was good for us, POST (after) injury?Originally posted by saj View PostYes I think I do know the meaning of pre and post: English is my first language

I'm intrigued to know what was contradictory about my post?
And - considering you think my post was, and I quote "one of the worst I've had the displeasure of reading" - where you were when Marky was around?
Hehe, that was your 2500th post! I hope you're proud
