Seriously guys I have a question. I was too young too remember the days of Dalglish and my first memories of LFC are of Souness in charge, I'd say 1993. I know Souness more or less ruined the great LFC team. I don't remember how bad the team played under Souness - a genuine question: is the team under Hodgson worse than it was under Souness?

It's impossible to say really, different eras and all that. We have a much better squad now than we did once Souness got his grubby mits on it. I dare say we played a bit of football every now and again though. Now it's just......nothing. Absolutely nothing football.

From what I remember and what I've read afterwards Souness rightly knew that we had to rebuild the squad. The squad was aging without the same numbers of quality youngsters coming through, problem for Souness is that arguably he sold the wrong players and then spent a lot on average English men.

It's difficult to make a direct comparison playing wise as the game has moved on massively since then - you watch back and we look awful but then pretty much all teams were.

I'd say that so far Hodgson is the worst I've seen at Anfield. Unsuited on all levels.

Im not talking players. I still firmly believe still that the current squad is good enough to finish in the top four. I know the squad back then, Souness destroyed and built up again with some atrocious signings. Add to that, he fis fitness regime led players to get injured (think several players suffered with identical Achilles problems). I'm talking style of play: is it worse? Did Souness at least get his sides attempt to play football? Did his team slections make sense given the ****e players we had back then?
