So Pennant plays decent and all of a sudden he's good again. It was against Reading in the League cup. There's no pressure there. When the pressure's been on he's been found out.

If only we could put Robbie Fowler in Bellamy's body. IMO he should be playing more. Fine he hasn't got much pace anymore. But the movement, first touch, general footballing intelligence, and of course those brilliant finishing abilities count much more for anything Bellamy can bring to the table. Was it a coincidence that the link up between midfield and attack was better with him in the side?

Crouch needs a run of games. He's in form. Just play him.

Reina's starting to worry me. He was off his nut in the last 15 minutes tonight.

How long before we see Scott Carson back?

Danny Guthrie. Lets see more of him.

I haven't sold him but he doesn't play that much.

No, Neither Carson nor Kirkland can be recalled. Part of their loan deals

Which is a bit silly really, but I suppose Charlton wanted the guarantee so they could make him first team keeper, which in the end is only good for us.

As for Kirkland, hasn't he broken something yet.

Not quite sure why the fact that Pennant played well last season and in his first few games for us counts for nothing when added to a good game tonight when one good game makes you want to see more of Guthrie.

Not sure Bellamy has been that bad for us. I think Fowler should be in the shake up but not sure who I would partner him with. Bellamy however has played ok despite your dislike of him and complements both Kuyt and Crouch in a partnership.

Would be nice to have Carson as quality competition to Reina, however in the long run he needs to have a guarenteed first team run.

                                I enjoyed it too.

I wouldn't say the goals were his fault, but he was lucky that they didn't have an equaliser or two that would have been.

Why would a keeper rabbit punch a ball in his midriff?

I thought the kids were impressive.

Peltier didn't put a foot wrong and was very clear headed and never panicked.

Guthrie did very well in the centre of the park. How old is he?

Smith was initially rash leading to the freekick that led to the goal but settled down too.

                                Fowler was tremendous.

Pennant had a good game, credit where its due, but did leave his full back very short of protection. His tracking back is very poor, but his attacking game was good tonight.

My dad went nuts when they got back into it too which was very funny.
