I have been thinking of the club a lot recently but it wasn't until today how much a realised I love this club! I have been a supporter since the start of the 04/05 season when I got into football by collecting football cards! I decided I supported Liverpool just because my cousin supported them and I have never looked back. My family are more into rugby and because of this i am seen as an"outcast" within the family. But no matter what this club has brought some of my best memories like going to Liverpool to watch my first football match, winning the fa cup in 2006 and of course Istanbul! At the time, as I was new to football I didn't realise how significant that match was in the history of the club and I feel privileged to have been part of it. Although these are bad times we are experiencing now, I am sure there will be light at the end of the tunnel! We will return to them glory days! Liverpool football club has made me smile, laugh and cry and I will always love them! YNWA

I feel for the younger generation of Liverpool supporters, i grew up watching the great (late) 80's teams and the glory that came with that. To think theres a whole generation of fans who have never seen us win (or even come close) to the title is pretty sad.
The way things are, i'm not even sure i'll see us win the league again in my lifetime (and i'm only in my early 30's)
We come not to play.

If 95 refers to the year you were born, that makes you the same age as my son, so I have to agree with you there Imy. There's no equivalent to the Barnes / Aldridge / Beardsley season, no dominating the league and no going into every game expecting to win.
My son hasn't got any of that to draw on, he supports Liverpool because I do, but he doesn't enjoy it. Its a real shame.

Keep the faith mate. By January we'll have new owners, a new manager and will be back to actually attacking teams.
I think the only positive for me is that Roy doing so bad probably means I'll never have to endure the same for England. He's ****ed himself up well and truly by taking the Liverpool job.
Football wise I can never remember feeling so under whelmed. I always look for positives but under Roy there is none. Hence I cling to the hope we will soon be rid of the Yanks and Roy.Forwards.......

Do you think that if maybe we started to be successfull again you'd become interested again? I know some LFC fans who have just tried to switch off from it all as it's just so depressing atm.Originally posted by anfieldanfield View PostI used to Love LFC. Right from a kid through my teenage years.
Then I started to go to games, home and away, lived in the city, went to a couple of finals. And now, maybe I grew out of it or something but I'm pretty indifferent about football. Weird.
I know if we carried on with the Yanks and Roy for the next three years I'd be doing my best to switch off from it all.Forwards.......

I guess it's a factor. I'm hardly going to spend the best part of £40 on watching us struggle to beat ****ing Blackpool.
