The DM we had on the pitch (Poulsen) did nothing to break up the play or protect the back four. In fact he did nothing in the whole game.

Maybe Roy thinks he was doing his best but was left all at sea by our ultra attacking style?

Where was Babel today? Was he injured? We only had Ngog who could make an attacking impact.

Maxi and Jovanovic were on the bench but they have yet to prove they can offer any attacking threat in their time in a red shirt. I didn't see the point of having both Spearing and Lucas on the bench at the expense of an another attacking threat.

Only one is allowed to handle the ball, but that don't stop us lining up the eight players on the goal line, have Pepe sweeping up in front and have Gerrard and Torres up top.

He wont quit. He has been given a three year contract and he will loose a lot of money if he quits.

Not sure if we have the money to sack him.

I said this when he was appointed but why did we give him a 3 year contract when the club was up for sale and we could have new owners in the not too distant future, who would presumably want to bring in their own manager.

Roy Hodgson has revealed that Fernando Torres suffered a groin strain during Liverpool's 2-1 defeat at home to Blackpool on Sunday afternoon.

The Spaniard was replaced by David Ngog after just 10 minutes of the clash with the Tangerines and the boss admitted he was still awaiting news of how long the striker could be on the sidelines.

Hodgson told his post-match press conference: "He has a groin strain, but I don't know how severe it is.

"They (the medical team) are assessing it at the moment. It happened early in game which came as a surprise to us. We were not aware of any problems with the groin. I don't know if it happened during the course of the game when he stretched for the ball. I don't really know."


Groin strain - seems apt as I wouldn't expect him to give a **** anymore.
