From the get go, I wanted Kenny if it was Kenny v Roy. Then Roy came in and I thought well I guess we'll just get a basically competent manager and what harm can that do.

Then we started ****, and the West Brom game in particular rankled in terms of how the team was set out.

And the **** start continued and five games in the sack Hodgson calls were at the point where 70% of you wanted him gone.

And I couldn't countenance it really, after just five games? I read people's criticisms, and apart from those who seemed to criticise the way he sat down even when he was standing up, i pretty much agreed with the lot.

But I held fire nonetheless. It didn't seem right to judge a man on half a dozen games. Yes, I shared the critique, but sack him rather than see how it progresses in case it's just a bit of a blip? Nah. I couldn't.

But you know what. **** it.

That was the most cowardly display from a football manager I've seen. It was beyond atrocious. We again defended deep, we had Meireles on the right for reasons I can't understand, just to accommodate the woeful Poulson.

On three occasions in the first half we attacked on a break and I counted SEVEN (yes SEVEN) Liverpool players static in their own half. (And I'm not counting Reina).

No wonder we gave away a penalty. Johnson not being much cop as a defender in my view aside, it was a function of the fact that we were defending on the edge of our box.

Even when we had the ball in their half our line would only get to the D of the circle.

    It was beyond abysmal.

I can't carry on being reasonable and holding to the principle of "give him time".

I thought Rafa was frustratingly defensive but this guy is a damn sight more defensive and it's had the counter intuitive result that it has made us more vulnerable as a result.

So **** it. I'm with Lecter. Get rid.

I am 100% CONVINCED this is down to Hodgson

Listen to what people like Danny Murphy, other Fulham players and even some of our players have said

They sit off teams and defend the 18 yard box thats the plan. They dont even close down crosses

        This is the whole plan

Sit deep and try and clear the ball when it is crossed in

        Its suicidal

I keep saying Roys plan is dog**** you have to press the ball higher up the pitch than that
I hear what you are saying Lec but this seemed different. It didn't seem like tactics it seemed more like a lack of interest on the players part.

And that has what to do with us being out performed this season by relegation fodder on a regualr basis at Anfield? Good god, even in the face of current evidence the majority of these pointless, moronic media hacks can't realise that they had it just a little wrong about Benitez, and their sainted English manager who everyone respects for his glorious tactics and man-marking simply isn't up to the job?

Andy gray just summed it up great.

I said before a few times that Roy lost the dressing room. The players simply don't give a **** about his instructions anymore, they just want his negative style of football gone IMO.

We won't play better until Roy is gone and we get in a manager that play pass and move football IMO.

I have seen this happen a few times at Real. They players just want the manager gone and don't give a **** about the results.

He has lost the dressing room, I'm 100% sure of that, 100%.

If Roy has been tasked with making sure the Americans don't try to hang on to us and that the resulting sale price is as attractive as possible, then he's doing a fking great job. Hopefully the club will soon be sold to an owner willing to inject funds and G&H will be down on the deal.

They keep insisting (especially Redknapp) that Rafa had money to spend and even that we spent money this summer - yeah, but we lost Masher you tits.

I wonder how the players who appeared to think it was time that Rafa moved on feel?

I doubt that a single player wanted Roy instead of Kenny. That is a part of the problem. As soon as Kenny said that he wanted the job then anyone else that got the job would get a very difficult time to convince the players that he is the right man for the job.

Kenny was the only possible choice as soon as he said that he wanted the job because of who he is but our board isn't exactly the smartest around when it comes down to football.

I will say I am not normally this reactionairy to things on the pitch

Generally I'm quite calm (unless I was playing)

The reason I've been very vocal in my criticism of Hodgson is that I think hes going against even some of the basic fundamental principles needed to even complete his own "game plan"

That is what has got my back up and its got me really really worried

I'll have to watch it again later but we have barely pressed any sides and I am totally 100% covinced that is part of his tactic
