From the get go, I wanted Kenny if it was Kenny v Roy. Then Roy came in and I thought well I guess we'll just get a basically competent manager and what harm can that do.
Then we started ****, and the West Brom game in particular rankled in terms of how the team was set out.
And the **** start continued and five games in the sack Hodgson calls were at the point where 70% of you wanted him gone.
And I couldn't countenance it really, after just five games? I read people's criticisms, and apart from those who seemed to criticise the way he sat down even when he was standing up, i pretty much agreed with the lot.
But I held fire nonetheless. It didn't seem right to judge a man on half a dozen games. Yes, I shared the critique, but sack him rather than see how it progresses in case it's just a bit of a blip? Nah. I couldn't.
But you know what. **** it.
That was the most cowardly display from a football manager I've seen. It was beyond atrocious. We again defended deep, we had Meireles on the right for reasons I can't understand, just to accommodate the woeful Poulson.
On three occasions in the first half we attacked on a break and I counted SEVEN (yes SEVEN) Liverpool players static in their own half. (And I'm not counting Reina).
No wonder we gave away a penalty. Johnson not being much cop as a defender in my view aside, it was a function of the fact that we were defending on the edge of our box.
Even when we had the ball in their half our line would only get to the D of the circle.
It was beyond abysmal.
I can't carry on being reasonable and holding to the principle of "give him time".
I thought Rafa was frustratingly defensive but this guy is a damn sight more defensive and it's had the counter intuitive result that it has made us more vulnerable as a result.
So **** it. I'm with Lecter. Get rid.
