And his goals last season and him being our top assist player the season before and the defensive work he puts in for the team.Originally posted by tsb View PostDont need to be a world beater to beat Everton. Funny how people can forget he scored 4 goals in the last 6 Prem derbies.
Calling him a liability is pure ignorance.

Come on people, Dirk has shown more spirit on more occasions than quite a few of the LFC journey men over the last few years. I'd rather have someone find and get themselves into positions for the whole 90 minutes to have a few chances and not score, than someone anonymous for the whole game. Dirk out is a loss.Originally posted by tsb View PostDont need to be a world beater to beat Everton. Funny how people can forget he scored 4 goals in the last 6 Prem derbies.
But we do have cover that I wish the management would exploit.

I have to say even Poulsen. I may well think Roy is wrong about him and about the way we should play but if a manager is to fail I always prefer it if they had tried their way and it was wrong rather than injuries prevented them even trying and I don't wish injury on any player. Besides it would only mean Kyrgiakos in midfield or something equally hideous.Originally posted by red g View PostWould you have changed your opinion if it had been Christian Poulsen?>
Under nearly all circumstances but Roy being our manager Agger would be a massive blow. As it is we will hardly notice which in itself is a massive shame. Kyut out is ****."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

Regardless of what peoples opinions are on Kuyt, he's always one of the better players in the derbies. Constantly.

What a poxy season Agger has had so far. I guess we can say that he won't be missed huh? Afterall, he's only our second or third choice left back.

I wonder if Mr Indestrucible is now paying for so many years of non stop football. And this year he has had even less of a break what with the World Cup. Perhaps as he is getting older his body is paying the price for the amount of football he has played and after all, his style is a pretty robust and physical one so he has thrown himself around a lot over the years. Either way he will be a big miss in the upcoming games.
As for Agger, it seems all we ever do is keep him on the sidelines in readiness for the Denmark games these days. I actually don't think he will ever truly reach his potential thanks to his fragile body and quite honestly, if money wasn't an issue, I now think I'd be looking to bring in another top notch centre back to build the defence round. I don't think we can rely on Agger to ever turn out for most of the season (even given a half decent manager who will of course, play him when fit).Bring Back Rafa Cakes

It seems Dirky may be gone until January but Agger's injury may not be that bad..

Liverpool FC’s Dirk Kuyt facing up to two months on the sidelines
Dirk Kuyt will not play for Liverpool again this year after sustaining an ankle injury on international duty with Holland.
Bert van Marwijk’s side recording a 4-1 victory over Sweden in Euro 2012 qualifier but Kuyt was substituted on 29 minutes after landing awkwardly when vying for a ball with Daniel Majstorovic.
The 30-year-old suffered a shoulder injury during a training session with the Oranje last month but made a quick recovery in time to make an emotional return to former club Utrecht in the Europa League a fortnight ago.
Liverpool will assess the extent of the damage once the attacker, who is currently under observation in hospital, returns to Melwood but van Marwijk claims that he will be sidelined for a considerable period with early indications showing he has torn ankle ligaments.
He said: "Dirk wanted to play on but our doctor prevented that and told me to substitute him.
"He is now in a hospital but following the doctor's first opinion it could be very serious and keep him sidelined for a long time."
News of Kuyt’s setback will come as a devastating blow for Roy Hodgson ahead of Sunday’s showdown with Everton, with the under-fire Kop boss desperate to turn the club’s on field fortunes around with them currently languishing in the relegation zone.
His misery was further compounded when Daniel Agger limped out of Denmark’s 2-0 win over Cyprus shortly before the interval with a calf strain.Member #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club

Kuyt's injury IS Rafa's fault though. Rafa called him to wish him luck before the game and said "break a leg". Yet again, it's all Rafa's faultOriginally posted by PC Plod View Post****s sake- what a joke.
Of course ithese injuries will be used by the media as a nother excuse for Roy's ****eness, whereas it's be irrelevant were it Rafa.
