Shawcross is a decent defender but i'd much prefer Gary Cahill from Bolton.

He's strong, quick and no nonsense. Just what we need imo.

Agreed - he would bring quality to the squad. I said that in a Rafa voice in my head.

The thing is Henry & co want to engage the fans to see their opinions on things

If any of those conversations come round to Roy they are hardly going to be positive and in fact might prove to be downright damning

Yes, it stinks. Need to get rid of Agger imo. In fact, all four of our CBs need to be replaced.

The arrogance and vanity that was apparently the demise of him at Blackburn is well on show at Liverpool. It seems it rears its head when he's under pressure.

Well it's simple, Agger would have been looked at by our medical team and the danish medical staff and they obviously decided between them he was fit to go.

The fact he got injured is a nightmare but from Agger's point of view he's thinking I can't get a club game at the minute so playing 90 mins for my country will be good for me.

If they are Hodgson's quote's then he is clearly under pressure and beginning to crack, all the attention will be on him now that NESV have bought us

i think he has a point that agger seems to get fit for international games.

what that doesnt mean is that he shouldnt pick him for us when he is fit. Not sure he fits in with roys awful way of playing though.

You mean Agger likes to get forward rather than play hoof the ball?

No chance that he will stay if Hodgson isn't sacked, no chance at all. Agger won't be alone leaving in January if that is the case. Players like Pacheco and Torres will probably also leave as soon as possible.

It looks more and more like Pacheco is the one blamed for the Northampton fiasco together with Babel. Torres must have been pissed off after the no defending bit against Fergie show from Hodgson.

                        He just has to go.

Grossly, completely, unbelievably far out of his depth.

He's even losing the 'nice guy' schtick that the media love him for.

The one thing Hodgson has done which no other manager since Kenny could achieve is to unite the fans completely with respect to one specific issue.

Thing is the focus is totally on him now as the ownership issue is sorted, no hiding place for him. Unfortunately seen as he's "one of the boys", sky etc will give him a easy time and just keep blaming Rafa.

Quite the few over-the-top posts here.

Roy is pissed at a player that is perma-crocked making himself available for country, but not for club and he's got every right to be pissed. All this bollocks about man-management, he's damned if he does, damned if he doesn't. If Benitez had done this he'd be commended for showing who's boss.

Yes, there are debates about our defence, our style of play from the back and Roy himself - but surely we don't need this thread to froth from the mouth, when it's really an article about Agger being injured. Again.
