Moratorium on feeling really bad after matches

i am announcing a voluntary moratorium on getting too far down about our performances until nesv have had a chance to invest. for me the rest of the games from here to jan. 1 are just about showing who wants to stay more than others. hodgson included, although i think we all know he'll be going. this is not to say that you should refrain from criticizing or praising the players or the team (or management), just a call to step back for a month or two and not beat ourselves up over a situation that's going to get rectified when the window slams open.

comment below if you're interested (or otherwise). of course nobody will think less of you if you aren't. well nobody but me, and i just don't really matter around here anyways

    I like the idea.

And this is a huge fresh start for the players. For me the only person who doesn't have to prove himself his Reina, I include Torres in that. So it will be interesting to see how they all react to the change in circumstances.

I think the biggest decision NESV have to make is about Roy, I really don't know if they should give him a chance or getting rid quick.

I'd agree with that, I just find the thought of Hodgson tampering further with our squad to be a little scary. I really don't want to think of him with the power to sell players or invest £40m in celebrated journeymen.
        Really?

It still hurts. I can't see an upside at the moment.

I don't trust Roy with any money and can't see the manager changing soon.

Good idea. It's worked for me for years now.
                    .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

not sure why i bumped this really. either to remind myself not to be so glum or to remind myself that this was never really feasible.

still it's a nice little time capsule, and maybe it can calm me down a billionth of a percent if i remember i was once philosophical about this mess.

And to add to the trying to get everybody to remain calm to the fact that we haven't made any signings yet, as well as the fact that the Roy situation hasn't been resolved yet, I am sure I read somewhere we won't be doing our transfer business until the end of the month.

actually what it said was you'd expect business to shake out at the end of the month, because that's what normally happens, as teams get more panicky about the window "slamming" shut.

it wasn't any sort of policy statement, just someone's guess.
