Sure, I accept that. It just points to it being a complex decision to make in practice. I mean, there is actually a real possibility, albeit not strong IMO, that replacing Hodgson might actually make things worse.

Of course it depends who comes in. If it were Hiddink or Mourinho then I'd be willing to say fourth is still just possible.

This is exactly why myself and Danny (and others) have been saying we ARE capable of nicking 4th, with a proper manager. And also why, whilst others have been giving all the 'no rush, be patient' stuff, we've maintained that Hodgson SHOULD have gone after Blackpool, he SHOULD have gone after Everton, he SHOULD have gone after Newcastle, he SHOULD have gone after Wolves....and he ****ing well SHOULD go now.

Even now, as unlikely as it is, 4th is STILL not entirely gone. But the sad reality is that the owners' arsing around also means that Hodgson is also still not gone, and this will ultimately cost us any realistic challenge for 4th.

I think most people agree he should go if we get a proper manager. It`s the proper manager thats the problem. If we can`t get one now it`s no point in placing Roy with someone just as **** IMO. Maybe Kenny, or someone else could do the job, but we don`t know if someone good enough wants it as short term job.

Great attitude to football and the way it should be played, very damning comments about Kuyt, and i do agree to a certain extent. Liverpool would be a big move for him, but along with Villas Boas,Deschamps,Klopp i reckon he ticks alot of the boxes the suits upstairs are looking for, albeit slightly behind the others.

I think we have some good players who would be capable of playing that type of football (as well as a few who aren't), the problem is how well ingrained Roy's tactics are in them by the point the new man comes in.

oh i think we have enough talent for sure, just think plenty will be packing there bags to if we get a purist in. May also be a good opportunity for of the more technically gifted youngsters to get a game/bench duty as well

How good would it be to actually watch us knock the ball around in a pass and move method like Barca/Arsenal, Heaven! In that system i think there would definitely be some bag packing from certain players.

isnt it also reality that we are probably the 6th biggest spenders over the last few years as well??? although last few years we have brought a profit in haven't we?

to be fair Aquiliaini was only bought becuase he was cheap? think we only paid 5million up front? also GJ was cheap as we had money owed? could still ahve spent better like.........

I assume you mean 4-2-3-1? Your formation has 11 outfield players. All top teams play 4-2-3-1. Only dinosaurs like Hodgson play 4-4-2
