I think the problem hasn't just been the results under Roy, the performances have been grim as well. Added to that his tactical nouse and ability to change a game is non existent, the support hasn't taken to him, his press conferences are meek and embarassing, his signings abysmal... and he shows no sign whatsoever of learning from his mistakes. No matter what the result tonight he has to go.Originally posted by dww View PostI'm just providing information
On a different note:
If Roy wins the Napoli game and the Blackburn game convincingly would people give him any more time?Modifying post.

True Mendieta did go and was a loss but when you have players in their prime like:Originally posted by Arn View PostHe took over Valencia when they stopped spending big money. They had to sell a couple of their best players. Mendieta was one of the best players in the world at that time and he had to sell him to Lazio. He of course then got a bad knee injury and wasn't the same player after that.
It would be like we had sold Gerrad when he took over after Houllier. So the excellent side wasn't so excellent anymore because the best player had been sold.
CaƱizares, Ayala, Baraja, Albelda, Vicente, Aimar, Carboni, Kily, Angulo etc all top class players, some world class players at the time your pretty much onto a winner. I am not taking any of the credit away from Rafa, he won what Cuper didn't but saying that they were not "excellent" after reaching the Champions League final 2 years on the trot, and left with a ridiculous squad is a wee bit selective and untrue IMO.

all good mate
I think LFc fans have been soured by Roy and 2 wins ain't going to change people's mind, IMO all it does is prolonged the inevitable. Still be nice to see us wins a few games and actually play well.

Sorry, indeed. In fact I was pretending to be stupid. Or maybe I don't actually need to pretend that but you get the joke I'm sure...

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.
