If he was the manager of any other club, I would be LMAO at these comments.
“They base them on results and then they try and find all kinds of other reasons why the result was what it was but for me, and I’m pretty sure I’ll be backed up by David Moyes, our performance today was a good one.
After the game, which leaves the Reds facing a relegation battle ahead, Hodgson told radio station talkSPORT, “I can’t ask more of the players than they’ve given the club. I thought their workrate was outstanding, our passing was very good, our movement was good and Everton were fortunate enough to be able to defend on the back of a two-goal cushion. I think it might have been a different story had they not had the two-goal cushion

Rafa won at Goodison almost habitually. For Roy, it's a 'dream'Originally posted by Lecter View PostReporters asked Hodgson if he felt as though today's defeat could be classed as a missed opportunity to build on the surge of optimism following the sale to NESV on Friday.
He replied: "Yes, of course I feel that. This would have been the ideal opportunity to turn things around on the back of the entry of the new owners and the way that has been received by everyone. To get a result here and win the game would have been utopia.
"But I can only analyse the performance and there is no point in attempting to analyse dreams. The dream was we would come here on the back of new owners and win the game, but we had to play a game of football."

I honestly think he is a Manc double agent. Thats the only rational explanation. Or the fact that we used up so much Karma in getting rid of G&H that we need to suffer Hodgson for some time to maintain the cosmic sports karmic balance.Originally posted by Shaggy View Post

Nobody sticking up for him but i didnt really hear many having an audible go at him. But i dont think that's because they still have faith - they're just used to the **** now.
If i'm being honest, after the usual pre-match bravado and passion, it didnt take long before the away following adopted a fairly 'resigned' tone. It struck me as though most were expecting to lose and werent remotely surprised by what happened.Last edited by Craig_H; 17-10-10, 09:58 PM.

I had the same feelings. I didn't even bat an eye lid when they scored, and I'm not as down as I would expect myself to be. Put simply, I expected us to lose today and the result comes as no suprise.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostNobody sticking up for him but i didnt really hear many having an audible go at him.
