Yep I heard another journalist on the radio this morning (not sure who it was) - "I think Roy should be given more time"..... "I have some sympathy for him, Benitez left the club in a right mess"..... "Benitez' press conference the other day was shameful".... I actually had to shout **** OFF! at the radio I was son angry

The media agenda (not all of the media, but a large proportion of it) is so ****ing transparent it's untrue.

When Rafa was sacked they took something from us and I hate them for it. Roy is for me the last remaining part of the dirty GG and TH regime. Cant wait for him to **** off!!

why the fook arent we allowed to give rafa credit and say what we're missing? we often look back at the differences between shanks/paisly/fagan and dalglish's teams when assessing the state of the current one - be that houllier, rafa or roy.

its only natural to compare rafa to roy as he was his predecessor and roy is taking us backwards.

what people (myself included) need to try to do is separate that from simply wishing rafa had never gone.

As far as I am aware he did say 'Our websites' did he not.

What a complete and utter joke of a manager this guy is.

It's ridiculous. Firstly he was the previous manager - he's a relevant comparison. When Rafa took over everyone talked and compared with how things worked under Houllier. It's just the way it is.

Besides that he was the best LFC manager since Kenny, is an LFC legend, won us a European Cup etc etc.

I'm not sure 'faint amusement' is the most appropriate reaction and it doesn't say much about his capacity to empathise (although to be fair it can't be easy to get inside the heads of others when you spend so much time regarding yourself with such pride).

But at least he eventually stopped focussing on his own reaction and started defending the supporters from unfounded accusations.

The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

Its funny that even with Rafas broken english he always understood and respected the fans and the honour of the club at all times.

Don't the fans that are glad to see the back of Benitez ever wonder and think just why so many people are pro-Rafa?

It can't be a coincidence or a fear of change, its down to what they see in the man and what they saw on the pitch. And for every "puzzling" decision there were several excellent decisions. Who else since arguably Fagan (Dalglish was prevented in doing so) has made Liverpool the most feared side in the whole of Europe?

And with the back drop of the last three years of turmoil I think his star shines brighter with every single Roy Hodgson interview and performance.

I just let myself imagine how I'd fire Roy for a minute:

I'd hide his P45 inside an envelope from the FA with "Manager of the Month October, 2010 Nominations" on the front. I'd then place a hidden webcam in his office and stream it all live onto Est and we could all watch as he eagerly opened the letter to hear of yet another personal accolade to add to his burgeoning collection

and Roy is at full scale war with the fans. He more or less calls us fans idiots that should shut up.
