Sure he made mistakes along the way but, every manager of any team makes the same mistakes at one point which don't get half the Media attension that Rafa did. I firmly beleive that we made the biggest mistake for a very long time in getting rid of Rafa.

IF Rafa does'nt end up back here or another top class manager for that matter, don't arrive here soon then, i'm affraid that that costly mistake may well come back to haunt our Club big time
"Real" supporters? Crap. The performances last year were diabolical. Any "real" supporter would remember them. They are not much better this season, but take the rose tinted glasses off ffs.

The opening five lines from Go now by the Moody blues sums it up for me.

          We've already said ‘Goodbye’.
          Since you've got to go
Oh you had better go now.
Go now. Go now. Go now
          Before you see me cry.

One to sing on Sunday methinks, polite and straight to the point, oh and Roy probably recognizes the tune.
Interestingly Blackburn could be a club thats got Roy fired twice if we lose this weekend and if Kenny takes
charge he used to manage both Liverpool and Blackburn.
Its written in the stars my friends.

            They are not much better??

Are you insinuating that performances this year are better than last year

            FLMAO

We are far far worse than we were last year

I am not pro rafa as such - i love the guy - he did some great things for us, he was under a **** storm of pressure from rival managers, the media, the owners - for a few seasons - no other manager has had such a prolonged amount of **** thrown at him

I did however, believe it was time to move on - he'd took us as far as he could, the team/players had stalled, and we stumbled into 7th - i hoped a change in manager might re-vitalise the players and we'd start to improve again....

However - hodgson, i don't care whether its' only 8 league games in (plus i'd personally add the europa and carling cup games to this) has just defied belief.

Game by game it's got worse - performances are dire...really bad - i thought we had a decent squad, we needed 3 or 4 top class players to challenge for top four, without them though i thought - ok we'd be looking at anywhere between 5th and 8th - it wouldn't be great, but i'd put that down to stopping the rot, stabilising the club and looking to build from there.....- i even when hodgson joined said, well he's got a tough start so i could see us struggle early on - but I never ever ever for one minute thought we'd be 2nd from bottom (on goal difference) after 8, hell probably 10 games....i've also said that even under houiller, evans, benitez - when we've been playing **** - there was still the odd performance or bit of luck needed or players missing that gave me some hope going into the next game

Now - well i jsut don't see anything of the sort.....You throw in hodgons demanour, his words of wisdom - inviting bids for one of our star players, pleased and praising a 2-0 raping at the hands of Everton ffs...well I just don't see anyway back for him
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

                Not much worse?

There's a massive gulf in the performances last year compared to this year. Massive gulf is even an understatement!
                Are we winning?

One bad season out off five isn't bad though is it, i accept last season was'nt acceptable but, given the amount of pressure and lack of funds that were made available and, the fact the ****in yanks didn't like the fact that Rafa was standing his ground on multiple issues and not letting the fookers walk all over him, makes you think? why they were so eager to get rid of him after he'd done so much with the Club whilst having his hands tied behind his back for the majority of his time there.

                  BTW
, i don't wear glasses tinted or otherwise but, on the other hand, maybe you should consider wearing them yourself as you are unable to see whats going on in front off you my freind

                    I agree

                    Its enormous the gulf

Last season some of our football was poor

This season all of our football has been ****ing ****e

Was really hoping he'd be gone today.

At this rate i can see him still here at Christmas even if we're in the relegation zone.

You seem to suggest I'm enjoying the football we're playing at the moment. But last year was not good enough, the signings were horrendous and the team itself was not particularly well managed if you ask me. Whether it's even worse/just as bad this season is irrelevant. I don't believe Benitez was as good as some on here seem to think becasue I'm waiving the "benefit" of hindsight.

If Rijkaard would choose to go to a team in Saudi Arabia, rather than land a potential job with Liverpool, then he's obviously not the man for us.

No official confirmation of this yet anyway.

Even if one of Pellegrini or Rijkaard don't take it, I'm sure most of us would be more than happy to see Dalglish fill in as caretaker until the Summer - the best time to appoint a new manager anyway.

Agreed on kenny kris. Regarding Rijkaard, I'm sure he'd rather manage us - question is, does he have a chance?

Few jobs going around so if he's not in the running for us then you can understand why he fancies a bit of oil money.

At the minute I'd take anyone over Roy, but I can't deny that I'm slightly releived that Rijkaard is out of the picture.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?
