i know its only a small point but just maybe theres something in it,when he made the substitutions today he didn't shake hands with any of them or make any eye contact he just sat there.and i have a clear view from my seat in the lower cent.

I just wonder though, if the suggestion is that he's on his way and he's been told, wouldnt he just walk rather than wait?
We're clinging to every bit of body language, every little potential sign - and it's out of desperation. He just has to go.

Care to back up your hunch that we 'might' win the next 10 games with a wager? The odds of us doing that are so miniscule that it's ridiculous to suggest it even as a hypothetical situation.Originally posted by Shanks View Postbut he might and could and if he doesn't, then your replacement is??
I'd be happy with either Rijkaard or Pelligrini, but Kenny in a temporary role until someone else becomes available would lso be an improvement and would stop the damage Roy is currently doing in terms of squad harmony, confidence and the adoption of his bollox tactics.

I mean, if they've decided to sack him at point x, and he knew and said to them 'whats the point of me still being here for another x weeks when i am going to be sacked' they might bring forward the date and he'd still get his compo. If they are gonna sack him, there's no point for either party, to sit around waiting for the inevitable.Originally posted by Pepe79 View PostWould they? that could be 10 draws would you still think that was good enough?Originally posted by Shanks View PostIf he did go on that "10 game unbeaten run" then he would be good enough for LFC..
You never know, football is football. It could be in five years' time, ten years' time, two years' time. We have two years of a contract here, we are really pleased here, the people are very nice, the fans are very similar to Liverpool fans, with passion, so everything is going well."
But Liverpool is home? "Yeah-it's the only house we have. Liverpool is my home and I will come back."

The signings of Pouslen and Konchesky, both players Roy's coached before, strongly suggests he has a say in some of the transfers (unfortunately).Originally posted by Daniel Torres View PostThis talk of Roy making the signings...are we operating on the basis where the manager makes the signings? I ask because he didn't seem to know much about Meireles and attested to that in interviews...
Who's to say the scouting team aren't driving recruitment?

That could explain why he was playing hiom on the bloody wing...he didn't know where he was meant to playOriginally posted by Daniel Torres View PostThis talk of Roy making the signings...are we operating on the basis where the manager makes the signings? If we get a win from all of those games with the resources before Jan,
then he should stay of course..
Highly unlikely.... but.
Because tactically and signings wise I dont think hes the right man to take us anywhere we want to beBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

I can't believe he's been told he's on his way and then left to manage the team today. If that was the case he'd have gone and Sammy would have taken charge temporarily.
My mind's split on where NESV are with a replacement. I can't believe they see Roy as the long term solution and so will want to replace him. However they will want to make sure ( as much as is possible) that they replace him with the right man and that's what I'm in two minds about.
Without a CEO in place and without anyone with football expertise close to them to help with the selection process I can see it will be a while before a replacement is found - at least until after a new CEO is in place and has time to identify and then get who they want.
However on the other hand they have been through DD and will probably have identified Roy as something they would probably want to change. If they have done that then it would be a bit short sighted to not take the next step and identify potential replacements.
Whichever I don't see that they will be panicked to rush into potentially selecting the wrong person by a bad string of results.

Well the point of it for Roy would be getting his £3m. If he said 'theres no point in me hanging around until the new man is ready to start', NESV would gladly just let him walk and save themselves £3m rather than bring the date forward for his benefit.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostI mean, if they've decided to sack him at point x, and he knew and said to them 'whats the point of me still being here for another x weeks when i am going to be sacked' they might bring forward the date and he'd still get his compo.
