I will say again the press hammered Rafa for under performing with a squad capable of finishing much higher and then when their chosen one Roy completely ****s things up they dont blame Roy the turn round and blame Rafa for leaving him a poor squad. Thats hypocrisy of the highest order they cant have it both ways either the squad was **** last season and we found our true level or the squad is better than they say and "their man" is a complete ****tard.

Part of me is thinking why rafa - why say anything be the bigger man....but i don't blame the guy, he has had so much **** slinged at him from opposition managers and the british press that he feels he needs to defend himself.

He's right though - Every interview hodgson does, gets worse....I read a quote i think yesterday in this thread where hodgson said somethign along the lines off...

This isn't fulham, malmo, blackburn or grasshoppers where noone gives a **** what u have to say and doesn't listen....Any big club, u have to know what ur saying - ferguson, wenger, mourinho, rafa, ancelloti - they all know this and understand this and thats why we all love or hate these guys - because they understand what being at big club means and that every word u say gets picked up, blown out of proportion etc.

Roy - on the other hand, looks completley bewildered with the spot light on him - he looks so lost, out of his depth, and shocked by it all that he has just turned into a sniping arrogant cunt trying to place the blame at everyone but himself and saying all the wrong things all the time

I'm not saying i want rafa back....i love rafa, but i did feel the team had staled a bit and it was time for a change - but **** me roy hodgson - he really doesn't understand what it means and how to act as a liverpool manager.

One thing no-one can ever deny is that Rafa totally defended our club and our fans and STILL continues to do so. Rafa is constantly under attack from the media, pundits, rival managers, and I'm ashamed to say it but also our current manager. Now seriously guys, I mean this with all my heart, how can we stand by and watch our friend, our former manager, and a legend at this great club of ours get disrespected and abused and stand by and do nothing about it? Surely we should show that we look after our own. For Istanbul, for standing up to fergiscum, for his love of the city, for his war against hicks/gillette, for the fact we love him as he loves us, we HAVE to sing his name and show the haters, the media, the WORLD that WE STAND BY OUR OWN. Looking at the situation I am wondering if he is just considered a stop gap until the end of the season when hopefully there will be alot more suitable managers available. While I'd like to see him gone before then I think replacing one stop gap with another probably doesn't achieve much, and I doubt the types of manager we are/should be targetting are available mid season. As you say I hope someone else is in charge of signing players in January because who knows what will happen if Roy has control of that.
