I've been trying to avoid this thread because I don't want to be predictable, however in spite of our famous victory today I still pray that our new owners will put Hodgson out of our misery soon.

That scouting mission will take you to the end of your days, and you still wont find anyone.
on current form, if we had someone like that, torres would be cooling his heals and hopefully getting mad as his understudy took all the plaudits.

What's your thoughts on this dave?

You know NESV better than most of us - you think they're likely to be on the lookout for a new manager, or will they keep Hodgson, do you think?

seriously though, i can't claim to be in the know or anything, but it's difficult for me to believe that nesv would retain someone with such a poor record. they're firm believers that the first priority at a club are to get the management and scouting right, and they don't like second best people. not in the past anyway. not in boston. i think you'd have to say that once they've got a director in place other things will start to get sorted out. the real question is "would someone like david dein retain roy hodgson?" because in my opinion, that's where we'll be in a month's time. he may get till the end of the season, but i hope not. once they exhaust (through study or experience) the possibility that roy is the right man, he'll be out on his ear.

one way or another, he will either bring us success or be moved on.

Who coaches the RSx then, do they have a multi title/trophy winning man in charge ? Or more to the point...did they appoint one when they first took over ?

From what I heard they appointed a 30 year old stats wizz who wasn't even coaching at the time. Not sure that would work in football, but they seem to like young managers with fresh ideas (The Anti-Roy).

I read they sacked their (then) manager after 8 days, appointed his successor who then got replaced a year down the line.

I see Roy is meeting them (NESV) this week (P45?).

They should make him re-apply for his job. Nothing that has been written about the ethos and style of Henry and NESV in any way matches the old school defensive mentality of the Hodger. I can't see him lasting even (EVEN) if he manages to turn results around IMHO opinion.

As someone said in the age of skype and conference calls it's a long way to fly just to say "well done Roy, keep up the good work"
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

Apparently he has other meetings and will be attending the Napoli game, so it's not just for the chat with Roy that he is heading over.
