Of course Roy isn't happy. But I doubt it's a sudden shock. He'd have known the plans of Nesv a while back I would have thought.

anyhow fair play to him for giving an apology although I haven't seen the interview so hard to gather how sincere it is.

I had always thought that Hodgson's comments about the mess he inherited related to the way the previous owners have ravaged the club and was not direct criticism of Rafa. I think his apology is consistent with that.
I can't believe anyone at the club would have tried to tell him to apologise. Firstly who would do that and secondly who (in authority at the club) would care if Rafa does feel insulted?

I agree with you. I think the idea of him being told to apologise is rather fanciful and is a projection of peoples' distaste for him onto the new owners.Originally posted by JHP View PostI had always thought that Hodgson's comments about the mess he inherited related to the way the previous owners have ravaged the club and was not direct criticism of Rafa. I have to say with regard to the interview on the offal that circumlocution is the sign of a weak mind or a lack of confidence. I suspect it is the latter.Really?

I've got a funny feeling it might have been Didier Deschamps.Originally posted by JHP View PostI had always thought that Hodgson's comments about the mess he inherited related to the way the previous owners have ravaged the club and was not direct criticism of Rafa. Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

Oh yeah, there's also been a peculiar and worrying outbreak of people agreeing with LDP Perkins. Shaggy, Redbug...even DWW Web didn't reject one comment out of hand.Originally posted by kris90210 View PostHaven't been following this thread too closely lately. Can someone tell me what the latest is regarding possible replacements? What are the rumours about Deschamps?
Such are the terrifying portents that herald the end of days.

You never know, football is football. It could be in five years' time, ten years' time, two years' time. We have two years of a contract here, we are really pleased here, the people are very nice, the fans are very similar to Liverpool fans, with passion, so everything is going well."
But Liverpool is home? "Yeah-it's the only house we have. Liverpool is my home and I will come back."

Watch that press conference back - when he's apologising, he becomes animated, stroking his chin, moving about in his chair, leaning forward, and the biggest show to his annoyance is the rapid eye movement from side to side. He's not happy. Watch when that body language reappears...right when he's talking about Daniel Agger's "serious calf problem"
Hmmmmmmmmmmm, its not a pa pa pa poker face.
