I had always thought that Hodgson's comments about the mess he inherited related to the way the previous owners have ravaged the club and was not direct criticism of Rafa. I think his apology is consistent with that.
I can't believe anyone at the club would have tried to tell him to apologise. Firstly who would do that and secondly who (in authority at the club) would care if Rafa does feel insulted?Comment
