Haven't read through too many of the last few pages, but a mate said that on ceefax on friday it quoted a statement by Henry to the effect that Hodgson would be here at least until the end of the season.

Anyone else who can elaborate on this?
well I guess that if the team are now winning every game they play and have just beaten the champions without conceding a goal against one of the most fluid attacking forces in europe then maybe he beleives that its not the right time to change the manager.
After this If Liverpool carry on winning and we are in the top four at Christmas it would be pretty unjust to sack Roy.
Fair play to him
Jacques Brel is alive and well and playing at Anfield
Roy interviewed before the game 'we are short experienced players in some positions' in relation to young Kelly playing at right back.
He wont last with NESV in charge, not a hope.
And? Kelly is an inexperienced right back, is he not? Absolutely no harm in Roy saying that, it's hardly an insult to the lad or likely to knock his confidence.
Some people will twist anything just to have a gripe.
Maybe its more about the team finding their feet, although it was intersting that today we played up from with two strikers which has nt been done from the sttart with Torres recently.
If you beat the best team in the country without conceding something must be going right, and if we had lost then he would take the blame so there is no reason why he shouldnt take the plaudits.

Roys starting to learn what is required to be LFC manager, but I still don't see him as anything more than a stop-gap until we bring in someone else. Depsite our recent run, his tactical apporach is not conducive to winning away, which is what is required for CL qualifaction or challenging for the title.
He's realised Poulsen is not up to the standard and his interviews have improved. No need to sack straight away, but definitely keep looking for Wenger Mark II.

Nowt wrong with Roy saying that, he was stating the obvious really.

I think Didier Deschampes will be coming this summer

He's sorted out the defence and the midfield is functioning better. Solid foundations to build the attack on which would logically be the next step.
Yeah our defence and its organisation has been so much better of late. Fair play to him for that, hope we keep it going. The biggest concern is does he have it in him do produce the sort of attacking football necessary to compete at the top end. I don't think he does but only time will tell.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’
Personally my only question has been should he go now or in the summer. I want a long term approach and at his age he doesn't cut it. If he can get us Champions League football though then jackpot. Job done.
But let's give him some credit. He's Bern kicked when he's down and he's turned into a cornered Rotweiller. But long may it continue.

He won't get us in the top four imo, but I hope we can replace him in the summer with his and our dignity in tact.
