1) What happens if the person who told me was in the dressing room?
2) Thats fair enough but it wont prompt me to step away from my current position
It will all come out in the wash VERY shortly
1) Then it depends largely on who it was, what was said and whether there are any other agendas at work.
2) I wasnt expecting it to, but it's just why it clouds the issue somewhat.
How shortly then?
With regards to the person who may or may not have told you based on them being in the dressing room - in simple terms, what exactly is Carragher or Gerrard supposed to have done?
This thread is such a mess, that if you've already said, i apologise, but i cannot recall.
Just in simple terms, if you're able to without compromising your source.
Dalglish was not part of the initial options he was part of the selection process - I am surmisining that Roy was Carraghers/Gerrards initial choice
He removed himself from the selection process to be considered for the position I dont know what their reaction was to that
The timing of that would be interesting to understand. I would have thought that if they had influence then when they had any sniff that Dalglish was interested they would undoubtedly have routed for him.
I suppose it is possible if they were involved and they wanted a stooge Hodgson would give them that more than Dalglish. But maybe I'm too cynical / sceptical.
I'm sure they had some role in all this but woder whether they or others believed them to have had more than they really did. Leaving aside Purslow, I'd be surprised if Broughton would have sanctioned such a level of influence from them. He's a seasoned manager and would realise that the troops have to be kept down.
So what happens if we beat West Ham next saturday, are we back on track again?
If NESV really wanted shot of Hodgson, i think they'd already be getting the wheels in motion so to speak and i there's no sign of them doing that. Quite the opposite in fact, going by their most recent comments, they seem to have faith in Roy.
You mean like when they bought the club? They kept all of us in the loop there all summer didn't they.
