I don't think we are going to have our pick of managers. There aren't many managers that have major achievements available Craig. Hiddink, Capello, Mourinho, Van Gaal are in jobs.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostMate, Hodgson came to LFC having done basically **** all.
Coyle, much as i think he's doing alright at Bolton, has achieved even less than Roy.
Nowhere near LFC quality.
If we assume they will replace Hodgson by Christmas then I'm assuming it will be someone more promising with less experience. It's a risk, but do we have a choice?

Of course we have a sodding choice. Coyle is no better a suggestion than Hodgson was. Christ, we're not ****ing Wigan, no matter how far we've dropped and LFC is still a massive massive job.Originally posted by vonk View PostI don't think we are going to have our pick of managers. Roy Hodgson has heard enough.
Liverpool’s manager was disappointed that fans were chanting the name of the team’s former manager, Kenny Dalglish, during Liverpool’s 2-0 loss to Stoke on Saturday, according to ESPN.
"That seems like it is going to be part of life at Liverpool," Hodgson said. "I think we are trying to do the best job we can in the circumstances and I don't know that that type of singing helps anyone.”
Liverpool had won or tied four games in a row before Saturday’s loss.
Dalglish is a legend to Liverpool fans, playing and coaching the team to victories throughout the 1980s.
Dalglish’s name had also been brought up to replace former manager Rafael Benitez when Benitez left the team in June. Hodgson was chosen as manager one month later.

Possibly Rijkaard...Originally posted by vonk View PostThen who? Rijkaard?
Mate, just because i'm not reeling off a list of names at 1:50am, doesnt mean we have to make do with ****ing Coyle or those of his equally inexperienced and 'done nothing in the game' ilk.
I think some people have been listening too much to Hodgson and his pathetic 'playing down' defeatist loserville comments.

Alright. There's just no obvious outstanding candidate for me. I will just assume NESV see something I don't.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostPossibly Rijkaard...

There may not be one 'obvious' candidate mate. But there's sure as hell better ones than Coyle
And they'll reveal themselves during the daylight hours
But to be blunt, Rijkaard, the chap at Porto, Pellegrini if he's still available, to name just 3. Not to mention a certain Kenneth Dalglish on a temp basis, to be replaced further down the line by Senor Benitez, who i feel will be leaving Inter before very long.
