    Where's this quote from?

BTW Lec, any more promising whispers coming out of the bootroom of late re. getting rid of the Bodge?

Never used to be like this, eh Roy?

Isn't he saying that in the past teams were applauded for, as you say, deservedly winning, but that now the crowd tend to boo our own instead? That's how I read it anyway.

Either way it's a criticism of the supporters and he needs to stop doing it. It shows a lack of humility as well as a lack of understanding. A manager can lecture us when his team plays well and start winning trophies.

Which in the case of the Hodgosaurus will be never.
        .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Yes, after re-reading the quote, he meant it this way.

He's got a point but he seems to thrive on alienating himself and as you say, he'd get all the plaudits if his teams were winning. There's no point crying over ancient times, when things were different. Now a footballer is a multi-millionaire, so he's got to factor this in.

          He's got to go.
          Are we winning?

In my lifetime I have never known a manager so unpopular.

Souness was pretty unpopular, but he never had such large amounts of fans against him.

I can only assume that the owners are aware that roy's popularity is as such a low point and realise that this is never going to change unles he wins the league, and even then it will be suggested it was won by Torres Gerard etc and inspite of him

I think the poor guy is in a lose -lose situation no matter what happens.

He is but a lot of this is now his own doing, he certainly wasn't welcomed with open arms on his arrival but with his snide comments about fans, his own players and talking about understanding why certain members of the squad would be interesting to other teams - it's no wonder he's been given a hard time.

His use of the press has been woeful and this for me has hurt his tenure so far as much as the dire tactics he tries to employ every game.

Even if that is what he's saying, he's talking ****. The Kop applauded both Blackpool and Northampton off the pitch.

And it's a comfort knowing that he will not be responsible for the signings in january

Well, it's really not hard to dislike him, you get up and see the headlines like "Pacheco faces Anfield exit after missed opportunity" and "Defender can be midfield option" and that **** with Agger and you just And that is besides the fact that we only occasionally don't play like a League One team.

I genuinely fear the damage he will do to the club long term

Firstly by ****ing annoying players who we should be trying to keep (Agger & Pacheco) and then there is the discontent with the senior players

Secondly lord help us if we sign anyone decent because no doubt he will ****ing ruin them, either by upsetting them or through the ****e negative tactics he has us playing

The biggest worry is that hes there long enough for his tactics to become ingrained in the first team. It could take a lot of time to repair that ****
