I remember having major arguments with a mate about Roys appointment when rafa went. i was defending him saying give him a chance he's done well at fulham blah de blah. I just want to say i was WRONG!! **** OFF ROY! Your drowning us with you with your crap tactics and crap speaches not wanting to spoil your friendship with that whiskey drinking red nose. 5 things jumped out at me in the ground there yesterday

Spurs must be like Everton are to us with Arsenal .... so much small club mentality surrounding large swathes of their support with, most notably chanting and merchandise

Meireles , Lucas brilliant first half and the team collectively played very well , first half

Modric ...best player overall on the park and made me wonder whether the now departed Aquallini could of played a similar role with similar attributes should he still be here

The belief to win big games like yesterday is rapidly eroding and accounting for Chelsea's recent results its possible to say now that we played them just at the right time

It saddens me deeply to see the youngsters on the bus to the games , be in such good voice on the way to the away trips and so down on the journeys back ... I remember a time when defeats used to hurt me that deeply

Whilst this frauds in charge, I can't see anything changing for the better ... that much is clear

A good manager, Hodgson just needs to be more positive in word and strategy. Certain results, like the defeat of Chelsea, show his ability.

He jsut needs to be more positive. A Liverpool side going down all guns blazing will win more acceptance than one dropping deep and inviting defeat. A few more positive words in the press wouldn't go a miss either. No need to speak the obvious all the time, such as "We have a chance at 4th but other sides would have a thing or too to say about that" etc etc.

well - i was at the game.....imo we won because the

1) the takeover had just gone through, the new owners where there....and for the first time in ages their was a huge feeling off relief at anfield

2) as a result of the above, mixed in with how it is at any big game...the atmosphere was electric - you'd have to be dead to not put a performance in when it's like that - and we still have half a dozen or so good players who raised it for this game

3) a moment of magic from torres gave us a 2 goal cushion, at the other end, world class performance by reina



We got ****ing tore apart in the second half. Hodgson did nothing other than imo sit there watching through his fingers and praying that we hang on.

It's stupid for anyone to suggest one win against the Chavs shows Hodgsons ability, the man has been in the game for decades, his record of BIG trophies won says more about his ability than one bloody game.

i read somewhere a horrendous stat - that hodgson has won something like 10 away games in 21 years of managment in england.....note :- that might not be the exact figures as i can't remember what they were or where i read it but it was along those lines

also laugh at people (pro hodgson and hodgson himself) using the....."we won four games in a row" arguement

we were dire at home to blackburn, we shocked the world with a late winner AWAY to bolton, and then Napoli - really who gives a flying **** about the Europa League - most people don't even know when we play and it was only a roy of the rovers performance from Gerrard that won it.
