The signing of Joe Cole was ****ing pathetic, he was out to get the iggest payday and we duly obliged. We didn't even need him and he's vasly over-rated. Jova, Poulsen and Konchesky were ****ing **** signings as well, overall, it was a ****ing crap transfer window.

J Cole was a calculated risk, one that's not worked out but a lot of that is to do with the tactics we're playing - christ this season does Nando look like the world beating striker we all know he is and can be ? For me Cole played in the correct formation we'd see a lot more from him (and a lot more from others)

Agree with the other 3 signings though, absolute mid-table at best players which basically compliments the manager we currently have

I seem to remember Rafa being pissed off that we sold Benayoun for 5million when he was sure he could have got 8million, as Ancelloti was desperate to replace Cole.

The thing is that both Cole and Torres have had their best periods when given setups that suited them and a manager that did a lot for them (Rafa for Nando, Mourinho for Cole) and both have struggled to reproduce that excellence without that input.

Cole was a poor risk, taken by Purslow under the mistaken belief that he understood football. It would have been interesting to see what Roy thought of him before he arrived here though. I suspect he would have been more positive than his recent interviews suggest but they are a god awful combination nonetheless.

A lad on TLW heard from a mate of his that Roy had a clause in his contract that he couldnt be sacked for 3 months after a takeover which would take us to mid Jan.Sounds plausible to me,a chance to prove himself and whatnot

Didn't Broughton admit to the opposite, something along the lines of new owners being able to change the manager with minimal compensation within 30 days of taking over???
