so why would he speak to them? I would think if he has spoken to FSG it would ony be about a position at the club.

Well it took NESV long enough but they're finally there. They should have realised a while a go though. But they are at least now at the point were many people assumed they already were - actively searching for a new manager.

Bad news? This process could take weeks and then there is the likelihood that the man we want will not be available until the summer. No temp wanted so that means seeing out the season with Roy.

I think NESV have been there for a while and they wanted to do things quietly but it has now got to a point where they had to let the fans know something was happening. They may even have somebody ready and waiting andare hoping this will encourage roy to walk.

As others have pointed out NESV have been very measured in all this. This bodes well for the future should we get another dose of "one bad season syndrome" with any future manager they're unlikely to do anything silly in haste.

Must been about the type of players the squad need then. That is something Comolli need to know. Every little piece of info helps. Rafa know the squad better than anyone else.

That doesn't make sense though why would they ask sdomeone who was sacked 6 month ago about the players the club needs unless they are giving him his job back?? If they don't think he is good enough to do tne job again why would they ask his advice??

Its not unheard of. He has intimate detail about the playing staff, their motivation and how best to motivate them. He also put together the Academy and the recently disbanded scouting system.
