Loving Rorys article. I've only been asking for this sort of action for god knows how long though

I should be happy now it seems I'm finally getting what I wanted, I did after all harbour genuine fears that they would never act - indeed it does in fact seem that Roy managed to keep the fans onside and scraped a few more results, he could well have been here next season.

I guess the one positive is they give the manager time. Roy has had too much IMO, yet I strongly believe he and the LMA cronies will argue the complete opposite if indeed he does get the boot anytime within this decade.

There are quite a few articles written over the last few months suggesting it would be quite funny to see Liverpool fans get their wish, so you better believe the knifes will be sharpened in readiness for anything other than perfection by King Kenny. It would however be nice if someone could get this message to them: whilst results have been bad, Roy will not lose his job because of them. He will have lost his job because he lost the fans. He failed to inspire, he failed to attack the opposition, he failed to show humility and he failed to get across what it really meant to be at Liverpool.

I could say he leaves with his reputation in tatters. But that's a lie. He never had one. England took on Mclaren before even thinking of him, even allardyce was head of the queue for that. And I never seen him linked when Chelsea were looking for a new manager.

Basically we were the only big club daft enough to consider him. And the circumstances he chanced upon himself to get the job speaks volumes.

No, he doesn't leave with his reputation in tatters. He leaves with the same one he came with. A good safe bet for average to poor clubs.
        Forwards.......

Yeah, took them a while but Lawrenson's been one of the ones to see sense.

I think the owners will hope that the bodge wins the odd game and keeps us up,then one sunny day they will sack him but not until the end of the season. By then we will have not qualified for any eurpean competion and will have lost are good players.
It's a prediction thread on a wish list.

I'll cry if we sign that pile of dog turd.

I know it's a bit mean, but i cant help laughing when i hear Avram Grant trying to speak.

And then MOTD really pulls out a beauty by cutting straight to Mick McCarthy's voice

Regarding signings, it's clear we need new blood but we are in danger of wasting cash.

Any new man who comes in may have completely different opinions. For that reason alone I expect limited activity in specialist positions such as a winger.

For instances, every manager plays centre backs, so we could quite easily sign one and let one go with no disruption to the make up of the squad.

But what about wide players? That's where the trouble starts. Some like wingers who hug the touchline, others like ones who come inside onto their stronger foot. Few players excel at both roles. Full backs, some like attacking ones whilst others like ones who sit back. Again, it's a specific role.

Even strikers wise, is it a 433/4231/442? You wouldn't sign a Dzeko for big money if you were not going to play two up top. They wouldn't work in a front three IMO. 442 and Dzeko is the man. 433 and I'd be looking at Hulk or Suarez. We may not be able to afford any of them but my point is they adopt different styles.

The only ones I'd trust are ones who are fluid and flexible, those able to fit in different systems. I probably wouldn't go mad on them money wise though, maybe just concentrate on young lads who will have re sale value if they don't work out.

                  Either way, interesting times ahead.

                    City are

The two names that sound likely, other than the French fella who's skillful 'but black' (or something), are van Wolfswinkel and Elia.

They will have to emphasise to the point of mentalness, that it's a temporary appointment.

If Kenny comes in and does a great job, NESV will seriously struggle to remove him.

The atmosphere at Anfield would be ****ing ELECTRIC if Kenny is in charge.
