52 in the footy manager sense is still fairly young. Well compared to the rottting cadaver we've currently got in charge, it is.
I have one word to offer - honesty. I couldn't be devious if I tried. Joe Fagan.

Here's an article in today's Indo which suggests NESV are definitely looking for Hodgson's replacement. Deschamps mentioned again.

          Never heard of him, myself.
The guy is completely unknown. He cannot possibly be our next manager

i think we could well get an unknown as long as he's talented.

Roy isn't that old, he just seems it. It's not necessarily an age thing, more the philosophy of the man. His ideas are archaic and he isn't capable of being adaptive. I'd take an octogenarian over Roy if he was able to make tactical adjustments and keep his mouth shut. In fact a dead person couldn't do one of those things any worse and would do the other much better!

the fact that he runs like gargamel belies the fact that he can still run.

Well unknown and unproven. I just cannot see it. It would be a huge gamble by NESV.

there's unknown to you and me, and there's unknown in the world of football. perhaps his colleagues have higher standards than roy's seem to have.

Wenger was unknown, as was Benitez to some extent. A lot of the great managers were/are to some extent. Mourinho, Shankly, Paisley, Hitzfeld et al. All got to start somewhere. Top, top player is no guarantee. Ask Shearer, Barnes etc

Benitez had won one of europe's elite leagues twice.

i'd venture as far as saying it's pretty rare that a great player goes on to be a great manager as well.
