Maybe there isnt one thenOriginally posted by DannyMan2006 View PostNot sure what the link is between Comolli and Deschamps.
Comolli played for Monaco as a youth player, and Deschamps managed them some years later
I wouldnt mind Deschamps. And he has the word 'champs' in his name, which is nice.

Aye man it would wreck your head to say the least.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostMe too mate, it's a nightmare - if it carries on much longer, i'll end up bald
But this is the closest he's been. He's really on the brink now and crucially, i think NESV have now reached the point where their mind is made up. Which of course means that even results cant save him.
I think danny said earlier, and i agree with him - i think the owners are trying to persuade one of their preferred options to come NOW instead of June. That may take a bit of time. If they cant, Kenny will probably step in.
When Roy is finally shown the door, it will be very interesting and exciting at the same time to see what happens next.

The Hole That May Finally Sink Roy's Leaking Bucket
Teflon Roy is still hanging in there.
So far numerous poor results, media gaffes, poor tactics, poor line up selections, poor signings & insulting the LFC supporters have all failed to result in any action from the powers above.
Maybe his middle name should be Houdini as he continues to wriggle free of the ridiculous situations that would have had numerous other managers out the EXIT door with P45 in hand long ago.
But perhaps the most significant figure from yesterday's game against Bolton was not the 2-1 scoreline secured by the Toe Of Joe (which seemingly has granted Roy yet another stay of execution), but the match attendance of 35,400.
Yup just 35,400 people through the turnstiles, Liverpool's lowest home Premier league attendance since the dark days of 2004!
Anfield's capacity is 45,522, so over 10.000 seats were empty in the ground yesterday.
Liverpool's average home attendance so far this season is 41,751, so we are averaging 3,771 empty seats per game. Compare that to this season's empty seat averages of our traditional Big 4 rivals:
2010 - 2011 Premier League empty seat averages:
Arsenal 315
Man Utd 717
Chelsea 988
Liverpool 3,771
Liverpool's empty seat average during the 2008-09 season was just 1,911. Even during our poor 2009-10 season it was just 2,658.
Much more alarming though is Liverpool's empty seat average for their last 3 Premier League fixtures during the period in which LFC fans' opposition to the current manager has sharply accelerated. The figure is a whopping 6,825!
Anyone thinking that this decrease in attendances can be explained away by the fact that these fixtures were against Aston Villa, Wolves & Bolton should think again. The empty seat average for these 3 fixtures last season was just 2,510.
Aston Villa - last season 43,667 - this season 39,079
Wolves - last season 41,956 - this season 41,614
Bolton - last season 43,413 - this season 35,400
Last season in 19 home games Liverpool's attendance dropped below 41,000 only once (against West Ham 37,697).
In the last 3 games this season Liverpool's attendance has sunk below the 41,000 mark twice.
John W Henry & Tom Werner are reportedly big on their statistics so without doubt these tumbling attendances won't have gone unnoticed by them.
If the revenue coming through the turnstiles continues to dwindle, then alarm bells will certainly start ringing at NESV HQ if they haven't done so already.
Roy Hodgson may well have been living a charmed existence in recent weeks
But even if the poor results, poor tactics & media gaffes don't get him, the disappearing gate receipts might just do the trick!

Surprisingly high number for previous years too, even before things got so bad. And we want to build a 60k/65k stadium. Unless we get serious good on the pitch again, and we're talking the best we've been for a couple of decades, that could leave us with an embarrassing number of empty seats on Match of the Day more often than not.Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years

Well, I think that we will end up with Quique Sanchez Flores or Unai Emery.
I don't think Deschamps will leave Marseille. QSF and Emery is probably two of the most realistic options out there.Stop the cyberhate

Ballague mentioned him in passing, but in terms of serious candidates, not much has been said about him.
