Just read on a Liverpool Rumours site that Roy will be gone before the Man Utd game REGARDLESS of the result against Blackburn.

So to clarify and make it all simple, the game against Blackburn will be Hodgsons last game in charge.

The guy who posted is a guy called Macca, who does not bull**** and who has a good record of posting info. He's likely the only insider who the Editor of the site vouches for, and as people pretend to be Macca I had my doubts at first, but the Editor has confirmed several times that it was indeed Macca who posted the information and as such I am taking notice of the rumour and posting it here.

Maccas source is said to be a first team player.

As with all rumours you can choose to believe it or not, don't shoot the messenger etc. All I will say is that I wouldn't post it if I thought it was rubbish.

So the suggestion is that NESV would tell a first team player that the manager is about to be sacked?

This is just a crap cover version of the "Will they sell, won't they sell, they're defo going to sell before x date because the bank has leaked info..."

For the record, it sounds like a lot of bollocks to me. No way we're going to find out from a first teamer. Its nonsense.

to be fair, the leaked date for the takeover was nearly spot on. i'm fairly happy that the tide seems to have well and truly turned. it has given me hope that something will happen soon, but none of the supposed details are that interesting to me at this point until something concrete happens.

I think it was announced to the players at half-time against Bolton. That must be what all the emotional hugging was about at the end of the game.

If he did get this wrong, it would be the first time he has been so adamant about something and it not happened.

But it is the internet. I don't know him personally and there is always the infamous get out clause of his said informant was winding him up for a laugh.

If it was someone who I wasn't so sure on posting the info, I'd have pretty much the same opinions as you. But like I've said already, he's previously been someone who is reliable.

Immediately prior to a game against Man Ure does sound a bit odd but maybe it'll give the players a lift

No mention of the replacement? You'd imagine that news be be available before they decide on a date for the sacking and I doubt the players would be told he's getting sacked without being advised on who's coming in.
